And the term "Brand New" or "Same as Brand New"

We all know that every automobile ever made came out the factory brand new right? And yet, people use it in their advert.

"Up to 14km/l"

In a best case scenario, yes.. and in a worst case.. it does what 5km/l..?

"Lady Driven"

Whats so special... besides the fact that the engine RPM never exceeded 2500, and left leg on the brakes, right leg on the gas pedal. In case of a manual, left foot on the clutch all the time..

Oh and on the subject who can forget "Doctor owned", "engineer used" or "Banker owned", all of which are classics!

Hi Guys

And also i have seen

Collectors CAR

NOT FOR TIME WASTERS

BARGAIN HUNTERS

FOR GENUINE BUYERS ONLY

etc etc :)

thanks

regards

sumith

IMHO...genuine buyers and no time wasters is sort of a must though it's effectiveness is questionable.

The amount of calls you get when you advertise a vehicle and the utterly retarded questions is unbearable...

We see quite a bit of flack thrown at car sellers...you should see the monkey acts of buyers! :)

Well, you can genuinely want to buy that particular model but if the car isn't up to par you're gonna end up being a time waster. :D

  • 1 year later...

you all forgot the famous Attanayke Model? tongue.gif

Attanayaka Model (Mitsubishi Lancer C11).:

In 1989, when JVP leader Rohana Wijeweera was arrested by the Police at Ulapane while he was appearing as Mr.Attanayaka , a superintendent of a plantation. This incident was telecasting on Rupavahini news and also showed his vehicle Lancer C11. So people started to identify this model as Attanayaka Model.

Wow, thank you for the blast from the past....

Anyway the funniest car ad term got to be the " Cha Va Let " as refereed to the Chevrolet Cruze

Plus, last week I got a flyer from Sen*ok , advertising the new VW Passat, which had Triptronic gears... wow.....

.

alloy wheel drive , boku seat

and what is the meaning of "Intelligent Key, Keyless Start Key"

Boku seat must be for " bucket seats " never heard of it anywhere. And the Intelligent key is where the doors open automatically instead of having to press the button, which would otherwise be called a remote key. At least thats what I think.

Manufacturers use keyless authorization systems under different names:
