I'v had two honda's and both of them was maintained at Upul's place. I never ever had a single prob with his work and he has been always helping me to get my work done in the best possible way still without having to make a hole in my pocket. From my experiences, he is a friendly person and a talented mechanic.

I personally recommend Ajith. I have known him for ages and have no complaints about him at all.

As per Upul-- Just RUN --First hand experience.

Never been to Radhika's place, so no comment.

abs out mean not working right ok cost is depends on what is wrong with the abs system it may be a abs sensor's or control unit maybe even abs valve body better check the abs system first and decide what to do.

you can buy parts and fix abs and airbag system but it is a very costly job to do it it's better and cheep to just sell your car and buy a one with abs and airbag. :)

There are lots of experts around.I was a customer and a friend Upul way before he got started but I'd be the first to admit his work is not quite what it used to be.Therefore I cannot recommend him anymore.I've heard very good things about Ajith after GearHead recommended him to me but I couldn't follow up on my appointment cos of some health issues back then and the problem just sorted itself out.Nowadays my Sol is maintained by Ranjit & Nadeera Jinasena at Kotikawatte.

For diagnostics stuff like this go to Stafford.

I know him for a long time. but now he is not happy to make more customers. how ever this only my openion and advice. also i cannot comment his faults on open forum

pathiraja

Hmm can be agree with this somewhat. I went him recently for the 1st time. He said that he is fade up with the work now, he is working at his home now. But he did my work as it is a simple one like changing the distributor oil seal. And when I ask him to change the timing belt he didn't deny it, told me to call and come. It seems he is a good guy.

And I should say he is far better than the so called Malabe honda expert. :D

I go to Rohan for repairs on my Honda. I can personally recommend him. Only thing is u will have to catch him on weekends. Don't know about the other honda guys though.

can you please mention the rohan's number, location.

I have downloaded the service manual for US model it is compatible with D15Z4 engine

and it is bit a interesting to do it your self. I have set the timing according to that. So some of mechanics are saying they do repair by their experience and not looking the book

So if you have bit a technical background you can refer and fix the issue. But only limited repairs , I cannot afford the service console..etc

amen to that

Yes, Malabe guy is very keen to replace parts rather than repair . Always he is suspicious about the Distributor, Even Low consumption. he ask you to replace Distributor after the tune up.if you did not heard ignation sound. I assume the DB looks ok. But no always.

I have been to malabe guy for a ages with my EG8 and it had Idle speed error and , only waruna fixed it. But now waruna is different

So i heard a guy in Peliyandala, Mahesh and guy in pamankada

Any comments?

Malabe Upul will give you credit and rip you off and he will replace parts as he gets all the reconditioned parts in the market (He sends four three wheeler guys to the reconditioned parts shops daily to get the stuff) and that is why you cannot find Honda parts easily in these shops.Upul was there only a couple of years at Stafford and was trained by Rohan (Who is the best and mots reasonable guy with over 20 years experiance and still working at Stafford).Varuna is also OK but he does not work much now,Mahesh is good for hear box repairs .

Please avoid Malabe Upul and Wasantha in Dehiwala and these guys will rip you off . The best option is Rohan and if not Mahesh

Considering the Skill Set :

1. Mahesh - Bokundara (Piliyandala) 0777116172 - can handle honda productions from 1989 - 2012, very sound knowledge in both gasoline and hybrid productions. Know and posses OBD1 and OBD2 diagnosing tools with inhouse building facility, pricing is bit costly. But quality work

2. Dharshana - Boralesgamuwa (Does repairs by visiting - Best for drivetrain maintenance) 0719309914 - can handle honda productions from 1989 - 2012, sound knowledge in both gasoline and hybrid cars with OBD diagnosing tools, Reasonable pricng and best of quality work. extremely good with suspension work and Civic 7th Gen

3. Rohan 0776247938 - Good in all aspects , very honest and reasonable in pricing - best for productions below 2006 in drive train and power train aspects. but lacks in OBD2 diagnosis due to not having proper diagnosing tools

4. Ajith 0772929096, Gampaha - Good for drivetrain and powertrain maintenance. best for productions below 2006, reasonable pricing.

All above are uptodate with honda lineup of cars because they are currently employed at Staffords and are the people who run the show at the agents!
