Guys,

Does a registration number have a huge impact when it comes to the second hand car market. For example say you have two car both manufactured in 2004 but one was imported brand new and the other reconditioned and both have english number plates (Bnew had J series and Recon has K series)? Would the second hand market say in 4 years time (given historic trends remain constant) have more than a 200,000 difference between the J and K

Bcos i have seen J series brand new imported cars with lesser mileage than some k series recon cars and also in better condition (bcos mostly imported by ppl who could afford to spend on maintaining)

There was a previous thread on 19- and 300-, but given the latest import restrictions and rising yen value how would this registration number difference affect car prices in the future?
