Call gold unoriginal, typical, biting, fad, jdm, or whatever the hell you want, but we all know you wish you had a car that looked like these. As much as you may hate the fad, the craze of the “top secret” color we all know this is the color that cannot be match. The first impression of these three cars together is probably “woah” and that’s usually the case when you see these three cruise around. The originators, the creators, and the elite come about with these three cars. One of the best built EKs, with a lot of go with the show to grace many pages of popular mags, one of the most impressive WRXs to hit the floors of any show room, and a new comer into the socal scene, the all new Yokohama/Advan, HKS, Rotora sponsored DC5. All three cars well equipped enough to shut those guys up that want to get served what they deserve. And what is more suprising enough is that all 3 are street/daily driven vehicles. Although all three cars might have the similar shade of color, all three are not the same in the way they were built.

Kevin Mayuga’s gold Honda Civic hatchback is the first car we’ll introduce you out of the group. Making a whopping 298 WHP and 224 LBS of torque at a minimal 6 LBS of boost this 2.0 liter VTEC Turbo motor fully built by JG Engine Dynamics will show and go on the f’ed up streets of southern California. Equipped with a Civic SI b16 tranny, head, cams, and master cylinder, this OE and aftermarket setup is perfectly tuned to allow the car to performs like no other. JG has supplied the car with custom throttle body as well as other custom fabrications. With this type of motor and the amount of power it can create, fuel can become an issue. Kevin opted for RC 310 Fuel Injectors along with a STR Eliminator fuel rail. Fluidyne High Performance radiator keeps this car cool and under control.

Underneath this beast is one thing, but moving on to the most eye catching part of this car would have to be the exterior. Then gold effect paint by MOB Works and the 17inch Gold Advan RGs wrapped on Toyo R1-S rubber make this car unmatched in any style seen around. Painted engine bay, interior, trunk, shaved wipers, emblems, matched with all the JDM CTR accessories such as front grill, rear lip, and thin side moldings allows this car to retain its original clean form. Equipped with only the finest Japanese products from Honda such as Honda Access window visors, CTR Headlights, and Vis hood and spoiler the smallest accents gives the overall theme a more complete look.

The cockpit of this car is done just as tastefully with many amenities to cater to the driver and his style. One of the first things you’ll notice is the CTR climate controls, along with the CTR 5” Gathers TV Display. Rare items such as these are the ones that make the difference from all those other guys out there trying to do this thing called “making my car more JDM”. Sitting in the nicely tucked Bride Zeta III you’ll notice the CTR gauge cluster and the Momo “Millennium” steering wheels, all hooked up into place with the Momo hub and Splash quick release hub. Making sure the car is functioning correctly during all the daily driving, Kevin has put various Autometer gauages to give those proper readings, from boost, to air/fuel ratio gauges. Looking back from the driver seat you’ll see a very exquiste array of bars setup courtesy of EM Racing from their “Quick Relese” C-Pillar tie bar, all the way to the lower rear tie bar. This Triangulated setup can be purchased from www.emracing.com and can provide your vehicle with the stability and control you are looking for. When you hit those corners and need to get on those brakes, Rotora has given the Civic new life when it comes to stopping power. Equipped with 2 Rotora 1-piece cross-drilled and slotted vented “e-coated” black rotors, and 2 Rotora 2-piece cast aluminum 4-piston calipers in bright red. From the bay to the wheels, we think Kevin has pretty much got this car covered!

Subaru’s aren’t only meant for Rally racing, and we have known that for sometime now, and even more so when the release of the WRX came here to the states. And this is where Nasif comes into play with his played up WRX converted STI. Done in the same stylish fashion with gold paint done by International AutoBody, he has outdone himself in working his way to make it one of the nicest Suby’s around. Tein Flex suspension sets the aggressive stance, sitting on 17inch Bronze Volk Racing TE-37 on super meaty Falken Azenis. This car must be intimidating front on. Front mount intercooler to an LNR carbon fiber hood scoop with a limited edition JDM STI 2-piece front lip, Nasif is definetily not f**king around. Moving around the car, one of the first things you’ll notice are the rare Ganador Mirrors, and various APR Carbon Fiber pieces that accents the areas where the Subaru would lack. Spoilers, splitters and canards have the car keeping all the air down, and increasing the down force. Bride Zeta III Driver as well as a Bride Brix Passenger, keep both he and his friend locked into place with the 5 point Takata Harness. Looking in you can see it is gutted and painted in similar fashion as the other two, and staring into the darkness of the rear seats were you can see a 5th TE-37 awaiting a possible mishap on the road. The car comes complete with a 4-piston brake upgrade from Wilwood upfront and a 2-piston Wilwood rear setup.

Our last vehicle we have is this RSX otherwise known as the DC5 in Japan. Sponsored by Yokohama/Advan, HKS, and Rotora, this car will be featured at a later date, and a build-up story can be checked out in the LAB section of the site. Stay tuned for this car and its full fledged feature, and watch how it comes together like this!

Great bust SOB. As soon as I saw his post I had the same feeling and I searched for his name to see whether I can find this website. Nothing came up. You did obviously did a better job in searching.

Good that we had to listen to his BS less than 24hrs.

Good one Soblanka, well done.

To Mr Ajith,

Just for the sake of living in Canada don't ever think that the people who live in SL are stupid, there is a hell of a lot of people here who know motoring better than the Srilankans who live abroad. Don't f**k around here... you have very badly misunderstood MR. B)
