Fuel Gauge Doesn't Work When The Foot Is On Brakes

lakshank

Question

I have a problem in the electrical system in my defender 300 tdi. I cant guess what it is. Battery is new. i dont think my alternater is dodgy coz it was serviced after a wading at yala.

When i press the brakes or toot the horn ( while the engine is running) sometimes the cd player goes off. if i keep my foot on the brake pedal on the ignition mode(engine is not running) the fuel gauge does not rise. it goes up as soon as take the foot off.

i didnt take it to anyone yet...

can anyone please help me.

well.. looks like a user problem... just kidding mate... best advice is to take it to an Auto electrition... if there is some sort of wireing issue.. better get it sorted beore things get worse. there is a guy near the Dehiwala Zoo. he is very good. try him & see.

there's a good electrician whom I get the electric work done for my 406.. very good in diagnosis and reasonable in charges. His specialization is in latest european vehicles. If you need contact details, drop a mail at [email protected]
