Assuming everything else is fine then I guess the logical assumption would be that the battery terminal installation wasn't done correctly? I'd work backwards and double check everything (*also check if the battery is charged!).

*If the car dials are working and the lights and warning lights etc. are working on the dash then that would mean the battery terminals are fine and the car is getting power. I would just check for loose connections at the battery connection /battery terminals and then charge the battery via a battery charger. Try again when the battery has over 90% charge indicated on it. (Or you could use booster cables and give the car a jump start if you can't wait.)
