I have already opened LC for government officers vehicle permit to import a car. Do I have to pay the full amount of tax (without the reduction of 3.6M) as per new circular when my vehicle is arrived.

Do you think the members reply soon when opening multiple threads for same question ? Also there are enough existing thread for vehicle permits. You may ask this on one of those.

Wouldn't you get a more comprehensive answer by contacting the finance ministry? Is there any difficulty in doing so?

If you are a government officer who is entitled for a duty concession permit..... then you should be able to understand the circular issued ....

What's the new circular all about? I thought it was only the minister permit which was cancelled

if you have opened LC just relax.

If you have opened the LC already, be calm! You will get the concession.
The government ceased only issuing the permits effective from 29th of Sep 2018.

If you are a MP, no longer you can utilize the permit that you already obtained (until 28th Sep 2019).
