small japan car with good fuel economy

Hi,

im planing to buy a small japan car (except 660cc) which have auto transmission . Key point is the fuel economy.i got 2 models in my mind

1. vitz  1.0 -year 2000

2. starlet 1.3 -ep91 -1997/1998

which would be really match to me?

Would recommend you to go for 1.3 if you do lots of outstation travel, bigger the engine less stress. Lots of city driving 1000cc makes a small different.

Vitz replaced the starlet, it has better interior space and more comfortable.

There are Vitz 1.3 on the market, bit rare and may be bit more expensive

May I suggest Suzuki HT51 .It is newer than both.

I heard that Susuki swift dosen`t have good fuel economy . 

Does Toyota corolla 110 have good fuel economy that starlet 1.3  or vitz 1.0.

Genaraly i used to travel  around 30 km distance with medium traffic area thats why i decided to buy vitz 1.0.

when you're buying vehicles that are almost 20 years old you really can't predict fuel economy.  If you're concerned on Fuel Economy you're better off looking at a manual 

Plus the vitz looks more like a household appliance than a car (just my opinion)

I can quote for that, my swift does 15 -16 km/L out station and traffic of course 10kmpL. anyway the figures can be changed drastically as per the way you drive.
