Transmission fluid level at cold position

Ted

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I recently did an auto transmission fluid change. When I checked the level early in the morning the fluid level shows around 1 cm above HOT upper cut level. I mean there are HOT upper and lower cut within which the lvel should be when hot and COLD upper and lower within which fluid lvel when cold.

1) Is there excess amount of oil?

2) Do I need to drain ?

3) My auto is working well but it gets a lil bit delay to chang into gears ( I dunno weather it is a normal thing because I am always expecting no time interval between any two gear :P ). Might this because of this excess fluid?

Hello Ted

My gut feeling this won't blow any seals in your tranny, but i would go back to the place the oil change done and get them to remove the oil.

Ask them to remove and give it back to you as you may need to top up the oil

regards,

JC
