Uneducated ministers will never understanding those factors and these buggers will never make a environment or people friendly budgets. They play for their benifits.

All true. But let’s not forget the humongous ‘public’ service. We don’t see them and all these vruthiya samithees clamoring for the politicians to implement reasonable reforms to the outdated public transport systems. On the other hand, just try canceling their permits and see the hue and cry they make.

Every single public institution is a dinosaur which sucks money and wastes human resources. But no politician would ever dare try to reform this for fear of losing elections. What I’m saying is it is a two way street. We deserve the rulers we have. ??‍♂️Just my bit to the ranting!

what about the a3 hatch

Saw someone has advertised on fb the 1000cc for 6.25mn

That means logically A1 should be much cheaper.

Japanese hatches will have some competition now in SL.

Normally sri lankans are very clever to look at any thing in a negative manner .

But they do nothing for the country other than critisizing others

Honesly saying we have done something to country than these foolish ministers.  I meant all governments had last 30/40 years. At least we are not stolling others things. I have no appreciation over any of ministers recently had.

Simply strongly against your idea. Sorry to mentioned it. But it is my personal view. But I think most of our members have the same idea

According to a car importer CH-R Petrol version will be about 7.5 mil.

This vehicle (1,2L ,Turbo) was selling around 10 mil before the budget.

What changes were caused to reduction of 2.5 mil after the budget ?

New  tax system is based on CC (example - 1500cc X 3250)

Old one was a percentage of the value of the vehicle (examples 150% of cif )

Under the new one there can be 2 vehicles with totally different values but if they fall under the same tax category both of them will be taxed the same amount. Therefore there is an advantage for more expensive yet smaller displacement vehicles.
