Wheels corroded.

I have bought my car recently and this is my first car. Please check the attached image which shows the wheel is some what corroded. Is this normal? This corrosion is visible largely in front wheels and a little in rear wheels.

That is your brake disc. And the corrosion you see is oxidisation on them caused by water. Driving the car and applying the brakes a couple of times should cause it to disappear. And yes, it's normal for discs to develop surface rust when left wet.

It's stopped for sometime and that caused the discs to get corroded. Drive it a little with few times of braking to eliminate those. There are non corroded discs built by custom disc providers but those are damn expensive.

Overall this is a normal case.

Don't wash the car and just park it,.specially with a car cover, instead, go for a short drive to dry out everything.

I wash the car every weekend and park it under a veranda with a cover. In Monday morning I see the corroded disks. But disappear after first run and can not see until next wash or rain.
