Honda civic ES max speed

hi All !

• I have noticed that my civic ES5 (2004) which has an automatic transmission can not exceed 160 kmh.
• One of my friends which had a ES8 (2001) manual transmission easily go over ~180 kmh.
• I searched this in google and some people have mentioned about rev/speed limiter in stock mode.

Anyone know is this a limitation by manufacturer or can we solve/overcome this by using piggy back or any other method.

Unless you're track racing your es5 I don't see why you need to exceed 100kmph
