A headgasket is not a service item, Have you checked why your hg failed ? or is the prob you are having really the hg?

The agent would be the best and a few specialists are if you choose that path.Pls check for tem in spe, mechs /techs/workshops.

My car has an overheating problem. After driving several hours temp gauge goes up and down. When going fast temp is normal. but when slow down or at traffic it started going up. Mechanics who checked the car said cooling system, fans. radiators are fine. i have done a radiator clean also. I found out that previous owner has removed the thermostat. So i put a new thermostat value. Before putting the thermostat there was only over heating problem even after i drive from Colombo to kandy and no boiling. But after putting the thermostat it boils after climbing the kadugannawa. I took to the honda kandy dealer willies. They checked and final decision was. There is a small crack in the head gasket. So the compression goes to the cooling system and coolant or the water form radiator goes to the overflow and fills.

The thermostat valve would have been removed to curtail an over-heating condition,

AS you've mentioned, the cooling system is having issues andv has lead to serious failiure.get the cooling fan /temp sensor/relay test + the head with a leak test.

Hi guys. I need to do a head gasket replacement for my honda es8 2004. What is the best place to do that in Colombo(Stafford?). How many days it will take and the cost approx.?. Have any one done?. I am new to Honda. Thanks in advance.

Hi machan

My honda city 2004 model also had a timing issue (when its heated properly 2nd cylinder doesnt fire at all) therefore engine misses big time till i reach 1500 RPM.. Checked whole ignition and other related areas and found out that head gasket is the issue.. today my mechanic is replacing the head gasket.. probably i will get the car today EOD or tomorrow. I can give you an update (only if required) after the job..
