Do you know the meaning of the sticker pasted on your door. If you know it you will never keep it.

"Toyota Rent-A-Car"

I have seen a few people who actually stuck these stickers on their cars in pursuit of their "JDM" street-cred :D

anyway...the van has been in SL for so long it doesn't matter what it was in Japan :)

last resort will be to go to for engine overhauling.. is the engine under compression, is the white/black smoke coming too much out of the back when on hills and acceleration? Do you regularly service the vehicle? btw is this automatic?

Yes, we are going to need an overhul eventually.    Untill then, start with a new air filter and diesel filter.+ re pressureise injectors. While attending to the injectors, look into the injector pump fuel delivary settings . if reduced to stop smoking, you will have performance issues.

P.s, does the engine burn oil?

Don't all reconditioned "delivery" type vehicles fall into the same category? They are all used for commercial purposes and not personal use. Having a "rent-a-car" sticker doesn't make it any worse IMO.

Anyway, about OP not being able to speed over 80, since the vehicle has a bit of mileage on the ODO, it's good to do a compression test to make sure all cylinders have sufficient compression. If you bought the vehicle recently, better change all fluids as well, just to eliminate any doubts, especially if automatic. Also agree with Twin Turbo's advice in his first response.

Yep broo.... bought this vehicle 4 months ago... then we Changed fluids... ( gear oli, engine oil) replaced injector nossels.... bt no any answer

Do a compression test. It will tell you if there is the need to overhaul the engine or check for other causes such as an issue with the transmission of this is an automatic.

Not very well.... bt i think its 75% perfect acceleration...

Compression issue also should be considered. However, it should affect to acceleration as well.

Same time,

1. Did you check or repair your fuel pump recently (even while replacing injection nozzles) ??

Is it working well for all rpm's ?

2. Do you feel 3rd to 4th gear change? or while throttling, engine rev up but gear not changing beyond 3rd?
