Importing a car directly

Hi everybody,

I'm looking for a new vehicle to buy. I have done research and found there's no good quality vehicles to buy being in my budget which is maximum 2 million. There are some japanese cars but they looks very old (more than 15 years). And I'm not interested in alto even it's brandnew.

So my question is whether I have possibility to import a car through auction or whatever for the above budget? If not, what will be the greatest opportunity to buy a car in here. Please help me. Thanks for taking time to tead this ☺.

Hey Dish....

Even if you directly import it you wont be able to get anything for your budget. The auction purchase price of the cars would be well within your budget. However, once you pay import duty at this end your budget will be blown out of the water.

Sad to say your options would be some Indian car or an older Japanese car.

Don't be completely put off by the old Japanese cars. True. most of the old Japanese cars are hacked to death by cheap users and patched up to make a quick sale; but, you do get well taken care of honest cars every now and then. You just need to be patient. Personally I find these Japanese cars quite hardy compared to most of the newer ones and much better than even the brand new Indian cars. Their owners have abused them but they still keep running. These cars would be well below your budget and the remainder of your budget will have to be saved to spend on doing pre-emptive maintenance and maybe sort-out a few niggles at first purchase.

Totally agree with iRage. I use a Toyota Vios 2005 model and I still feel ok with it compared to brand new korean/indian cars. Only disadv is you will not get some latest technology (like Bluetooth) with these cars, but at the end its all about it makes you a trouble or not.

Vios is a lovely car.The only downside is it doesn't come with height adjustable front seat.I'm not sure about the 2005 one though.

Not either!

Anyway I'm afraid he can find a good car within his budget cap 2M...

Hey TomEd,

Thanks. I would love to have a Vios. Vios with a sporty look... wow. Do you think that I would be able to buy any Vios around 2M? Or else, what can you recommend? Would like to have a sporty type car too.
