Car for Rs 3 Millon - Rs 3.2Millon

Hi,

After the new budget came 2 days back in 2016, I decided to go for an economical car. My spec is as follows;

 

1. Maximum budget is Rs 3.2Mil.
2. Not an Indian make.
3. Considering safety & after market value.
4. Non hybrid
5. Fuel economy is a must.

If someone can point me some directions for a car that can match above requirements that would be super awesome.

Its a bit of a misconception that All hatchbacks are fuel efficient.. For example the Swift beetle is not that fuel efficient

Yeah its quit nippy and fun to drive. Ive driven it once the owner quoted fuel figures in the range of 8/9 for the auto  maybe he was heavy footed...

i didn't say all the Hatchbacks are only Fuel economy cars, of course  there was a others as well. i think according to the question most cars (75%) are small cars because of power to weight ratio.

technology for fuel efficiency

just eg (Toyota)-: gasoline (Vitz/121)->hybrid(Prius/aqua)->electric(IQ EV)->Plug-in Hybrid(Prius)-> Fuel Cell(Mirai)

Fuel economy it's very wide topic to disses it depend lost of variables like RPM,Driving style,Tyre pressure,Tyre condition,Speed,fuel condition, and vehicle condition. we can't say 100% sure about car model to model only we can say some average calculate value.

SWIFT beetle does not come even close to Vitz fuel economy. cos i owned both same driving style and same routes
