15w 40 is recommended oil for your car.20W 50 is thicker oil compared to previous and service station people do switch these oils as cars getting older.

That is totally not necessary if your car doesn't burn significant amount of oil bwtween 2 services. Keep it 15w40.

Yes you can switch oils.no engine flush or anything needed.just drain and refill new oil.

in the last service, the service station buggers have changed the engine oil from castrol 10w-40 to 20w-50 and i drive with 20w-50 for about 4500km... is it ok to switch back to 10w-40...??

vehicle - nissan wingroad

yom - 2000

milage - 130,000km

change the oil to 10w 40 and don't go to that service station again
