Wax Headlights & Taillights

Recommended Posts

Hi,

When you wax a car, is it ok to wax headlights & taillights using the same car wax?

Do you guys do it normally?

Depends on the wax. Most synthetic waxes (the spray on waxes usually) are fine on plastics.

(I don't actively wax my headlights and tail-lights, but I don't fuss if some gets on them or the surrounding trim as I know the spray wax is safe on plastics etc.)

I was not bothered with the science behind it, but I find waxing keeps the lights kinda looking new and shiny, especially the tail lights, so I tend to do it time to time, I use the 3m paste wax, no harm so far.
