Vitz Fuel Consumtion

Hi all,

I have a KSP 90 1000 cc vitz, it was purchased one year back & not much used from the day one, last month i started using it for daily travel, but the fuel consumption is around 8 kmpl in Colombo high traffic. My previous 1500 cc one did 7 in Colombo, then i did a full EFI tune up last week but still there's no improvement. This car did 18 kmpl outstation before the tuneup.

Is this common for vitz 1000 cc or there's some problem.

Tyre size 175*70*14

Mileage 39000 KM

95 Oct used

Serviced with Toyota oil & VIC oil filter

In heavy Colombo traffic it may take an hour to travel 8km and your engine would be running with the AC also switched on for an hour which would consume a lot of fuel though you have not covered much distance. Since traffic is not standard it is very difficult to give kmpl figures in heavy traffic.
