I guess much to Toyota's annoyance pics of the CHR were leaked a few days ago and now even the Toyota site has pics of the thing including specs. Interesting line up I must say...

It comes in Hybrid form. As in the Prius it is mated to a 1.8L gasoline engine and is available only in FF form (gasoline engine produces 98PS...and the HSD puts out 72 PS...no figures for what the combined output is).

The gasoline variants either come with a 1.2L Turbo charged engine which puts out 116PS and comes in either FF or AWD form AS WELL AS a 2.0L N/A variant pushing 150PS which only comes in FF form. The 1.2L TC is available either with a 6M/T or CVT whilst the 2.0L comes only with a CVT

Pricing, order acceptance and delivery and pics of the interior are still not known...

They just stole the profile of the Vezel. Even the rear door handles are hidden ala Alfa Romeo 156 style. Bye bye Vezel indeed.

To me it's little brother of RAV4, sure the father is same :speechless-smiley-003:

regards

JC

True it does look like the facelifted new RAV4. Saw a few articles on Japanese car mags (most are gossip mags) about the future of the RAV4 in the Japanese domestic market. The launch of the latest RAV4 in Japan was delayed because of the new Harrier launch (which is the same platform as the new RAV4) and was supposed to be launched in 2015/2016. and now that this is coming the future is uncertain again apparently as to where the RAV4 would sit. Also where was an announcement last year from Honda that the CR-V will be pulled out of the Japanese market. No idea what happened in regards to that though...

Interesting drawings and pics of some cars seem to be circulating ahead of the NY Motorshow...

For starters this is supposed to be the PHV Prius. This particular one is supposed to be spec'd for the north American market. There is no news as to what the Japanese version would be like. Personally this one looks a lot more bearable to look at than the Japanese spec Hybrid variant

2017 TOYOTA COROLLA

2017-toyota-corolla.jpg

Toyota Corolla has been one of the best-selling cars in the world since 1974. The new and redesigned 2017 Toyota Corolla will be on the market very soon.

EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR DESIGN

2017 Toyota Corolla will go through a serious redesign. Redesign of the new Corolla will include both interior and exterior of the vehicle as well as its engine section. The new 2017 Toyota Corolla is a perfect combination of efficiency, comfort and elegance. Toyota will introduce its 2017 Toyota Corolla with four models: L, S, LE Eco and LE. First visible change will be on the front bumper of the new model. The bumper will lose its massiveness. The car will be a bit bigger, but it will not affect its weight due to use of lightweight materials such as: aluminum, carbon fiber and alloy fiber that improve its aerodynamics. The new model will become sophisticated and it will receive a strong and aggressive appearance. Front grille will get a modern look which will be associated with the installation of the new LED powered headlights with a sharp and narrow shape. Headlamps will feature four levels of brightness, and that is what will make this car unique. Fog lights will also come with unique and modern design. We are expecting to see the wheels offered in different sizes. Interior of the new 2017 Toyota Corolla will be improved with many new standard and safety features like: security with airbags, a USB port, passengers in the back will also be able to charge their phones, Wi-Fi hotspot, HD radio, dual zone climate control, central console, Bluetooth connectivity and many more. Inside the cabin of the 2017 Toyota Corolla the seats will be covered with high-quality Softex material. Steering wheel will be leather-trimmed.

Exact date of the new 2017 Toyota Corolla release will be known in mid 2016. Its price is also not known yet, although some sources say that it will be in range from $19,000 – $28,000.

I don't see what is new about the pictures. That is the Corolla Furia concept which was first shown in 2013 (I beleive there are pics posted on this thread at an earlier stage) and is what the current Corolla is based on. From what I have heard (and the spy pics I have seen) the Corolla is more closer to the Furia's front design and takes some design clues from the Mirai....
