Honda Civic Type-R Fd1

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm interested about Honda Civic Type-R FD1( this car -> http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/features/htup_1207_2006_honda_civic_fd1/photo_01.html).

I have seen few around in Colombo. But I haven't seen any advertisement about this Type-R models. I guess those are personally imported ones. Does anyone know the price of this car in Sri Lanka ? Also, how to get one here :)?

Cheers...

Hi,

Hope I'm not violating the rules of the forum. If so please remove this post.

Today I went to U* C** Sales in Mount Lavinia and there was a registered type R FD1 for sale. Asking price was 6.8 mil. Sales guy told me that it will cost nearly 9 mil now to get a new one. Personally I really love this car and hope to buy one some day if possible.

that car has been there for ages. absolute ages. he's not moving it easily. i'm sure it'll reduce to a lot more than that. 6.8 explains why its been rotting there for some time...

Komi, if it was up to you, and you were thinking with your head, what would you pay for it?

No.

1. It's idle for 2+ years

2. For that price can import a 4 door civic type R

4. Or for around 3.5-3.8 get a dc5 ITR

5. Looks like an egg. Not a fan of the shape

Hmm..I too thought the Type R came only as a FD2..was there ever a FD1 Type R (an actual one right to the bone instead of a FD1 with a body kit on it and after market mods) ?

Considering that Japan stopped the Civic altogether in 2010? or something of the sort...can you still import on to SL ? I guess it will have to be a non JDM unit ?

komi...us has both versions... the UKDM (FN-egg shape) and the 4dr (FD). the registered is the 4dr version

adey sorry didn't know that. the 4 door, well its still a little steep. i know that the blue one exchanged hands for 4.8 mil or something, about a year ago. the market dynamics have changed since then tho. i guess, in that case, if it was me, and buying it would still leave me with a reasonable amount to live with per month, then yes. i would. deffa.
