Is It A Good Decision To Buy A '98 Sratlet Under Lease

tinyman

Question

I found out a Startlet EP91 with G series number in good condition. So far the car has officially changed to 5+ owners.

Will it be a good decision to buy this car under lease (lease will be around 1.25mn to be paid in 4 years)

And I've seen many out A/L members telling that Starlet is a very good car,I just need to know whether spare parts are available freely in SL.and brief me little about the fuel consumption also

Thanks

Tinyman

Tinyman, you answered your own question, hence why no one may have bothered with your question.

And I've seen many out A/L members telling that Starlet is a very good car,

Dear VVTi,

Iniitally I was looking for Kelisa. but after reading the forum only i thought of going for a starlet. but I have heard people saying that generally it's not good to lease out old cars. that's why i'm asking this, will leasing out a car which is about 14 years old be a suicide..??.

please advise me.

it's a solid car.

It won't blow in 4 years.

So choice is good.

But lease rates are sky high these days.

It's around 3000 rupee for each 1lak for 5years leasing .

(i don't know about 4)

try to get a vehicle loan instead.

Which bounces around 2500rs for same with less restrictions.

I spoke to L**C and they quoted 27% and later after lot of negotiation they came down to 26%, even though I'm a person well known and delt in many deals with them. 26% is equal to Rs.3,371.73 and Rs.2,994.05 per month for 100,000 on 4 year and 5 year lease.

as you advised I'm now trying to get a loan instead of the lease.

Many thanks for helping me out..

don't ask about percentages, it's utterly confusing with taxes after taxes.

Ask the total value that you've to pay for each 100000 , with all the taxes , 3000rs for 5 years scheme is too high.but that's the rate they offer for used vehicles.

it's high.I mean bloody high.try peoples leasing , but their conditions are harsh.

Best option is loan if you can handle the hard rule bank manager b*ggers .

According to the bank , there's 2 vat involvements when leasing a used vehicle.

I currently have 4 leases with People's leasing (3 commercial vehicles and 1 car) & I found them quite flexible & much reasonable than some banks and most other leasing companies
