Help The Lady To Pick One....

Question

1. Any recommendations what to buy for 3.8? Concerned about Looks / Reliability

2. Give me some good Advise what should I check when buying a recondition car. Eg. documents.

3. Are there agents/companies who does the vehicle checking and report or similar?

3. Are cars good if they are JAAI certified? or it's an unreliable thing?

4. Anyone know a Brand New car model around that price?

Thanks in advance

RA

in Kandy?

Didnt know that they offered the sedan version in the states. But the Tiida seems to be having a slightly better interior than the Versa

Talking about Nissan... saw that A*W is going to launch the new Nissan Sunny.... I think it looks equally bad as the Tiida... what the hell does Tiida mean ???

These Japanese guys really should recruit some good marketing people to come up with some innovative car names.

If you are talking about the wooden panels, it think you can choose the color you want, dark brown or yellowish. I have seen both on Tiidas

Its okay given that she knows what shes doing. Otherwise if something fails she will show it to a 'makabass' who then will be like "OMG WTF, මේකෙ කාරෙකෙන් බාගයක් ඇන්ජිම නෙ " :D (translate: It's a Nissan but I haven't seen this engine :P)

ThanksT-bag... I'm a picky person - even with what I have in hand. :)

1.Swift - I heard that the ground clearance is not good??

2.March (Normally I know as micra) - I don't like the look of it.

3.Passo -

4.Belta - I've red that the Belta (1000cc) is no good??

5.Vitz - good suggestion... but too common

Stay away from the Belta. It's a piece of absolute crap.

Suzuki Swift Japanese (2008 or later) would be a good choice.

City Fuel = 10 -- 11 KM/L

Outstation > 15 KM/L

There is a Swift 'Style' Variation which has distinct interior colous; which might be appealing to you.

Good Luck!.

Hi Rehana,

Here's my attempt at answering your questions.

1. I would go for a unreg Mazda Demio. It's one of the best looking cars in the class. Mazdas are known to be very reliable too.

2. Take someone who knows about cars when selecting the car you want. Look for evidence of wear especially in the inside and if it matches the mileage given. Look for evidence of re-spray on the body. The more original, the better.

3. I don't know of any independent companies offering such services. The agents for Mazda are/were Car Mart but there is a rumour that another company has now secured this.

4. Rehana you really need to learn to count ;) I'm not sure but I don't think this certificate is a gurantee to be taken seriously.

5. I think there are cars from Peredua, Proton, Indian Suzuki and Tata that fall into this bracket but IMO none have the looks, the build quality or the driving appeal of a Mazda Demio.

Thank you very much all! especially GTAm!! :)

Mazda Demio: Are there 2 or more different models available? Because some look very stylish and longer compared to other Demios?

I came to know about a VIOS/YARIS around 4mil.... Any input on those models?
