Help The Lady To Pick One....

RehanaA

Question

1. Any recommendations what to buy for 3.8? Concerned about Looks / Reliability

2. Give me some good Advise what should I check when buying a recondition car. Eg. documents.

3. Are there agents/companies who does the vehicle checking and report or similar?

3. Are cars good if they are JAAI certified? or it's an unreliable thing?

4. Anyone know a Brand New car model around that price?

Thanks in advance

Hi T-Bag...

I'm a srilankan.

Hi, I'm not expert in motor trade, but think 3.8 mil is no where near in jap brand new. But you can have Indian or Chinese one (Crap) for brand new under that price. Why don't you go for,

1.Swift

2.March (Normally I know as micra)

3.Passo

4.Belta

5.Vitz

JAAI is a mandatory certificate if a vehicle is exported out of Japan. It is quite reliable unless forged :)

It's better if you can view the 'Auction Sheet' of the car; which shows the auction grade. If auction grade is above 4 ; it's a good car with small issues (e.g. paint scratches, minor dents, etc)

ThanksT-bag... I'm a picky person - even with what I have in hand. :)

1.Swift - I heard that the ground clearance is not good??

2.March (Normally I know as micra) - I don't like the look of it.

3.Passo -

4.Belta - I've red that the Belta (1000cc) is no good??

5.Vitz - good suggestion... but too common

Don't forget the Honda Fit.

Thanks terrabytetango...

Good choice! but does it suit a lady over 35yrs??

Thank you Hiran...

Very valuable advise! I've never seen a genuine JAAI certificate... Any particular way to identify if it's a genuine one?

no no... she's mine...

Hey 35+ lady, I think I understand your needs very well... why don't we further discuss this over coffee sometimes. I can share my 10+ years of motor experience in the automotive industry with you. I am not doing a business, but only doing a service to the automotive community of Sri Lanka.

Sure why not. It's better looking than the Vitz and the Passo.

While we busy with fighting, terrabytetango hop the head..

Anyway, Honda Fit is little bit sporty for a lady in 35+.

She need big sedan type car, hope she always have lots of shopping involving grocery items.

Settle down chaps. This is the internets, after all.

How much was that Fiat Linea Multijet diesel that was reviewed on MoTorque?

If it falls within budget, that's a lovely ride!
