Firstly, I'm not some dude. I'm the forum moderator. Its a highly suggested practice to listen to what the moderators say.

Also, according to the CIS site, it only started 28 years ago, which means you started somewhere else. It couldn't have even been around when you started schooling. Also, did CIS even have a primary school when it started operating? Which means its highly likely you just went there for O/L or just A/Ls. And frankly dude, a guy who popped out of a new school after spending a couple of years there doesn't impress a guy who was educated at a place that has over 150 years of tradition behind it. Just so you know.

And mostly, you are doing CIS a disservice by claiming it as your alma mater if you can't even spell right. That would seem like an utter waste of the huge amount it used to cost to send kids there, even back in the day.

Thats actually a job for the admin, not the moderators, but since I had 0 problems changing my pic - please see left of screen - I can only reach one conclusion. 1D-10-T error.

i totally agree with this.. but i know from experience that the industry does have vultures of its own man... i have worked for sirasa studio, yes FM, and derena.. when i was a teen.. for the music industry... i see a vast difference in the people starting from the cameramen to the producers... they are also to blame for the bad rep models and others are getting.. but mind u there are people who are into all sorts of shit.. but i find derena and sirasa producers and workers to be the biggest pervs..

I dunno about the specific examples you have quoted, but yes, there are guys like that in the industry. Thats why I said "decent" photogs Another problem when every monkey with an entry level SLR thinks he is running some kinda studio coz he created an FB fan page for his photography.

The really good ones have shot so many good looking chicks, they get immune, its just a job. Those are the guys who can casually claim to have turned down a US $2 million offer to shoot for Victoria's Secret coz he didn't want the bother of putting up with whining prima donna models...

There is a news published in the following URL saying that old licenses are going to be canceled soon and should get the new "Smart" License to make all of us enabled in to this "Points" based charging method?

But to get back on track, I miss driving a manual, there are more than enough reminders on my daily commute to work. I find myself planning overtake maneuvers further in advance than I would in a manual, simply because kickdown takes half a second too long.

That was the first thing i did haha seems like he is a very troubled soul lol

He didn't say he WENT to CIS.. he said he's 36 and from CIS... for all we know, he might still be studying there despite of his age... perhaps he flunked every grade thrice... that would explain his immature attitude

But personally I believe we should have a driving license with expire a date, may be 5 year or 10 year period. Coz then at least most (mm.. ya most ) can open the book and see what are the road signs, road ethics… when preparing exam again. Coz when you go to road, can’t imagine how these ppl went through exam.

Its true that people tend to forget road disciplines and i have even seen people who has even forgotten the legal speed limits after sometime. Also doing a physical exam and writing off the unfit will be a good idea, i have seen plenty of unfit people clogging up the road and some still drive 1950's style right in the middle of two lanes. Nothing against old people but for God sakes if you cant see the damn road (especially at night) dont drive.

But given the fact that this is the "wonder of asia" it will take an entire day just to submit the documents and another day for us to go and wait in queue to receive the new license. I've already spent way too much time at the dmv doing absolutely nothing but waiting and im not willing to go through that again

Very true i wouldnt ever want to sight that place again...the last i was there was about 10years back...even after passing the trials we had to wait the entire day till evening to get our licence along with everyone in our batch... Its just a big waste of time for no reason at all...So imagine having to go through it every 5 or 10 years

what? do you seriously think having people renew their licenses every ten years will make them open a book and learn how to drive? A lot of people who passed the test in the first instance should not be on the roads anyway. You know the best way to prevent idiots from driving? Stop every idiot at the RMV and the examiners stop taking bribes. Finding an honest examiner at the RMV is almost as hard as finding a customs officer that refuses to take bribes.
