Smoked Headlights

guys anyone know a place to buy smoked headlights for a civic ek3 96-98??? or can anyone help me to find a place to smoke my headlights with a tint film(smoke film)??i asked several tint places they said they dont tint headlights and none of them are using a heat gun so i guess they cant tint the curves anyway.appeciate ur help guys! thank you!

well only the clear white once with uv cut are suitable for any vehicle other than dark pink and blue ones

According to a guy at a local car accessories shop, you will need a heat gun to stick it on to your headlights properly - if you are planning on DIY.

Yup heat gun required. Got mine done it actually takes away the little blemishes on the surface.

What the heat gun does is, it 'melts' the flat material to form over the contour of the headlamp. You could possibly do it with a hair dryer but you will spend a lot more time on it and it won't be as neat. It's the same as window tint material and the vinyl wraps.

Sorry to dig up this old topic, but I got my vinyl stickers from ebay, I was wondering if I wanted to get the sticker off afterwards would it be possible and would it mess up my headlights? I googled it up and i seems that the glue leaves a nasty residue over time. Anybody with some experience?

The nasty residue can usually be cleaned up, using the same methods to use UV damaged headlights

Yeah it can be cleaned off using adhesive remover (available as spray cans). Before buying the can, make sure it can be used on plastics. Some can only be used on glass and painted metal.

If you can't get hold of adhesive remover, polishing the headlight will also work as The Don has mentioned.
