This is applicable as long as the transfer date is mentioned in the paper.

I am so much in love to see what would it look like if GOSL introduses a registration system like in the USA (when you sell your car you have to return your plates and the new owner gets new plates, completing the transfer in no delay at all ,leaving the owner ship all nice ,clean and easy.)

Just imagine what will happen to our peoples "late number plate mentality" and so on..

And what will be the other effects ?

What do you guys think?

Basically it says that if you don't transfer the vehicle after purchase within 15 days, for each additional day, you will have to pay a fine of Rs. 100.

Hi all,

Hope you all are doing good.

I'm new to this open paper transfer process so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I have a vehicle with open papers and now I want to transfer it to me.

So I only fill out the Transferee sections of the MTA 6 and MTA 8 with my name and address?

What about the witness details? Probably left it blank?

Thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Dush

Hi Dushanf,

No, you cant keep witness details blank. Ask any 2 ppl to fill them with their NICs. Also care about the date in the bottom of each pages.
