Colombo Drag Night Official

Colombo Drag Racing (Official CMSC Event), Green Path, November 5th. Entries to be open for the Public by the 10th of October 2011 and close by the 1st November. Individual Timing's to be done from 5th Morning for the top 16 places in each class. The 16 top times in each class will run each other in an elimination format at the Main event. The main event will begin from 10pm onwards. Christmas Tree starting light's and official Timing equipment to be used. The Drag's will incorporate stalls with entertainment and food as well. Racing will take place on one side of green path with two cars against each other. The other side will be for spectators, food and the Paddock. It will be a Festival of Speed.

The Drag's will be an OFFICIAL CMSC Event.

Saturday, November 5 at 8:00am - Sunday, November 6 at 2:30am

The latest update is that there will be a 'Hybrid' and 'Classic' Class for the event. As such Lexus and Porsche Hybrid's will be able to take part. Also a designated Classic car class will be announced shortly.

Can we collect applications from CMSC office Col 02 or where else. Does club membership or competitor licence mandatory?

Event is open to the general public. No roll cage or Competition license required. Only a valid Sri Lankan Driving license and Helmet. Will update you on when the entry forms are out. Latest Update - Defence Approval was received today! The drags are a Go!! : ) please log onto the CMSC group and be updated on the forthcoming regulations...

Nope he mean's that there is alot of hype and enthusiasm for the event...Thus the classes should be easily filled with entries... Expecting 150 cars in total...

Preliminary Registration for the Drag's 2011 are officially open on the CMSC (Ceylon Motor Sports Club) group page on facebook. Please post your full Name and Email address on the page. The Event will be capped for the first 150 entries. Entry forms will be sent via Email to the registered participants on the group page. Upon receiving the form, Please print and hand it over with a recent passport sized photograph for your ONE DAY competition licence, to the CMSC office.

Its going to be one amazing event.
