Check CV joints. If that is the case , cost you aprox. 5-6 thousand rupees.

Check whether the CV joint boot is broken. If it is in very early stage then you can get away by changing just the boot not the CV joint.

Thanks all,

This noise hear onlt at the very last moment of maximum turn of the Swheel when trying to get a U turn.

Cant be a something wrong in Steering wheel fluid??

Cheers!!

If this noise is a "taka taka" sort of noise and it only comes when your wheels are turned at some angle its definitely the cv joints.

If there is something wrong with the power steering system or the steering rack you would notice that it is harder to turn the wheels, is it harder than before ?

It sounds like CV joint to me. Check both the CV joint boots for any visible cracks.

You can check it

Hi STIG & AMG,

Thanks for reply.

Machanic confirmed its not a CV Joint prob.. :yahoo:

but still bit hard to turn than before. He said its is not a problem as it will

indicate if there is a prob as it is EPS.

Any idea of it??

BTW Many happy returns AMG!! :party-smiley-015:

Cheers

If the mechanic says there is no problem in the CV joint and also the EPS system then why still there is a problem when you turn the wheel?

You better take it to another mechanic and see what he says.

Don't think all kind of problems will be indicated even though it is Electronic Power Steering.

If it was me I would have been happier if the problem is a broken CV joint boot as if there is any problem in the Electronic Power steering system it would be more complicated and expensive to repair.

I would suggest you check the car in another joint and see what they say.

Thank you for the wishes mate :)
