Cool Ebay Gadgets For Cars

cha

Recommended Posts

Guys just wanna know if this would fit any car, for the interior like dashboard etc? :) For the Nissan Presea R11?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/7-5-X-59-DRY-CARBON-FIBER-VINYL-WRAP-SHEET-ROLL-FOR-DIY-CAR-EXTERIOR-INTERIOR-/400888933670?hash=item5d56d7ad26&vxp=mtr

$15 for the product and $50 for shipping!

It's just a sticker so it depends on the surface you wanna use it on. Not particularly sure on if it will stick on a dashboard as the typical dashboard surface is a bit oily, and not flat. Though this sticket gives a fair bit of elasticity when you heat it a bit, it can still go only that far. If you're looking at a single flat panel then it's fine. Maybe you can share with us what part of the dash you want to use it on so we can advise u better..

I've been buying this stuff for a while on my dirt bike's panels (if you buy it from china its WAY cheaper than that). It's cheap and easy to replace so no heart-pain when I drop my bike and damage the sticker.

Last note buy what they sell as "4D" and not the "3D" cos the 4D is thinner and has a slight texture on the sticky side. That make sit easy to stick on and remove air bubbles.

Sometime back i was talking about warm white LEDs. I got them few weeks back(didnt have time to post here)

Two warm white 48 LED SMD(total 96 LED) for the room light

One pure white 12 LED SMD for the side step on each side

Two warm white 12(Total 24) LED SMD for the front map lights

I too am a big fan of these Dome Leds, I have seen warm white for household applications, but simply skipped the

fact they can be used in the cabin. Great find!

Useful for classic vehicles as well, to maintain the period look. safer on all switches,

these can be left on overnight and still have a usable battery by morning!

I don't know if its just me, the interior looks better when its lightened up by the warm white color rather than the pure white

Aren't those too whitey for fogs? you could've used them for Headlamp (Hi Beam) imho.

The original fog lamps weren't very bright which is why I changed them, plus white on white van looks nice! :sport-smiley-004:

I want to replace the high beams as well, but bit low on budget at the moment lol :sad-smiley-066:

Got Osram Night Breaker Unlimited for fog lamps and im loving it!

Osram Night Break Unlimited

Fog lamps and park lights only

With HID(low beam)

Been using the Night Breaker lineage for almost 5 years now, with the latest 'unlimited' upgrade, does wonders on the stock housings!

Which variant is this? Plus or Unlimited?

And may I ask what is the Temperature on the HIDs? as the color is almost the same as the osrams

However reviews claim they have a lower lifespan, they haven't failed on anyone I know. Excellent purchase!

whites kinda defeat the purpose of having "fog" lights right? :/

I wanted more light output and NightBreakers were the only option, I dont want those aftermarket HIDs. Plus we dont get very foggy conditions in SL often

This the unlimited variant, Plus is the older one right?

Those are factory fitted HID bulbs, its 4200K and Night Breakers are 4000K. I managed to find those HID bulbs on eBay, they are made by Phillips

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-NEW-HID-D4R-XENON-Headlight-Bulbs-90981-20029-OEM-REPLACEMENT-TOYOTA-LEXUS-/171779740596?fits=Make%3AToyota&hash=item27feded3b4&vxp=mtr

Yes according to reviews these bulbs have shorter life span than standard bulbs but I went through couple of forums and most of them have claimed that Night Breakers are working fine. Its those really old Night Breaker models which had serious life span issues

That pattern is quite narrow (being a spot light) I've seen these arranged in a light bar mounted on several Jeeps and LCs here and they are super bright! Can't look at them directly even in daylight. They might even be illegal.

Flood is no use as it spread the beams all over. Spot isn't that much narrow. Believe me its better than original head lights.

I have never used them on main road unless its really necessary. Legal Requirements:

Question : 11.

I am a frequent traveler to Nuwaraeliya area in order to avoid the mist, fog lights are fitted to my vehicle Can I use fog lights in other areas too?

Answer:

Extra two lights could be fitted to a motor vehicle parallel to the head lights or below. It can be even a fog lights.

Nishan I think you misunderstood what i said. OEM for lights should not be an issue. What I was guessing that may be illegal is the LED spot lights you posted Because they are much much brighter than any OEM light.

This could be true. But it doesn't say any limitation of lights. (I don't know the law :sad-smiley-067: ) So is there any limitation (Any LM value or so?)
