Hey… I was talking about smallest type of strobe. it has only 4 LEDs, All of them are in white in color. See my first post about strobe lights. i just wanted to know exactly is it illegal or not. Bcos i have seen some vehicles with this kind of flashing lights on their front.

These days im workin in Anuradhapura. Im travelling about up and down once a week through Kurunegala-padeniya-Anudadhapura path about 160Km. Its a nice road with minor traffic and with lots of Traffic police. it’s really boring and time wasting on driving 70 Km/h. i really had bad experiences with traffic police previously. Nw im nt stopping for police. Problem comes only if you stop for them.. Normally running with fog lights turned on.. (that’s my personal experience).

Anway, please dont judge others from your own way. They may have different requirements. As a example someone may drive jst looking at the back of the front vehicle, thinking abt his family and other stuff, someone may not.

Well your intentions may have been pure but it came across as being a douche. Sorry if we came across as hostile resistance.

But back to your argument, I'm pretty sure not many of us here particularly enjoy slow drives. But that doesn't mean we can go about doing whatever we want, especially to the extent of trying to 'scare' police. It will only be a worse offence when they do pull you over.

As far as I know, strobes are strictly stuff of the emergency and law enforcement vehicles (it's very strictly enforced where I live). Check with the police and you can get a definitive answer whether they are legal or not, but I'm sure you know the answer.

this dude must have a really small d##k if he needs strobe lights to make himself feel like a big man...

funnier yet, to prove that the cop is breaking traffic laws he breaks the laws himself. Anyway, i'm waiting for the day where I read about a j***a$$ who ran from the police with strobe lights and gets shot at.

Sylvi, as a favour to me and all of Autolanka, please don't sell items to individuals, or encourage individuals who want to attach strobe lights to the front of their cars. Clearly there is no purpose for such products other than to intimidate or annoy other drivers. We all have enough trouble driving on the road on a daily basis; the last thing anyone of us needs is an idiot / self-centred individual flashing a strobe light into our rear view mirrors at night.

Kaws,

Do not misunderstand this post. I think you did not get my post correctly. I never wanted to sell any ting on that post.

I only volunteered to give him, what SL electronic bulb assembler is assembling free.

I agree with you attaching strobe lights on the face of any vehicle is a big problem to in coming drivers.

Many new high cost vehicles have angel lights on their head lights. I fitted one HID kit for a normal bulb with a lens. On to the same fitting with said kit,

Had an angel light, on those two removing the red Angel lights.

If any of members want can give free, fittings and the wiring.

Sylvi Wijesinghe.

Well in this case our standards were just! And AL will not condone ignoring traffic laws and frightening cops!

If you want to get to a'pura faster, take the train!!

Agree, that is the fastest solution up to Vavuniya. This mentality will be treated with nice meal if they me with an accident specially of a child who has also taken the road as a playground as it is empty.

And your "requirement" to break the law is that you are bored? You, sir, are one helluva selfish senf entitled a***hole. You are basically saying you want to be allowed to commit a crime. The SL Police isn't known to be the most stand up bunch of guys around, but guys like you are part of the problem.

Well Thank You for that thought Sylvi: I'm glad that you too agree that one shouldn't help or volunteer to help individuals who are trying to break the law, or engage in / plan to engage in activities that are detrimental to the public at large.

Dude calm your tits!

No, you got a unanimous confirmation that it is illegal (common sense really)

What you didn't get was "ela machan, light up the L200 make those police buggers cry and tell us the tales of your conquests!"

I'm sure most of us here are a throttle happy bunch who face the exact same obstacles as you do. Ie cops, speed cams, hefty fines, mobile speed traps etc... a little bit of common sense and open eyes lets the rest of us enjoy the drive while avoiding these issues most of the time. But in your case apparently, to quote you.."not everything is made to everyone"

Be a badass and build your house in the cemetery. We'll look out for you in the news.

Its about 10%.FedEx had cleared it and delivered to doorstep within 6days from US. Had to pay 3000 to them when they deliver it. Avx77 was 2009 unit and read few negative comments about its touch interface. On the Other hand kenwood unit has great audio related settings.

Here are some of the stuff I have bought :

http://www.ebay.com/itm/281130628167 - Car phone holder. Still on the way so wouldn't know much about this.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111028147103 - Teardrop keytag. Mine says Civic on it but the seller has them available for tons of different models/makes. Has lots of different styles and colors. If anyone is curious, this is their eBay store link http://stores.ebay.com/DanteGTS (It takes about 1 month for the item to be received however).

http://www.ebay.com/itm/301059732790 - Carpet and seat cleaner brush

http://www.ebay.com/itm/310665917906 - RainX. Two bottles - One for wet weather driving visibility and the other is anti fog. When I first saw this I thought it was a gimmick. But it really does make a difference when driving in rain.
