There's a professional who attached to KIA agent in Sri Lanka. I cannot publish his name and contact details in the forum. Up to you to find out.

that is a pretty retarded statement.. why dont you just PM the contact details to the poster?

Machang I used to run a hyundai Sonata, Optima version, all the parts came stamped kia in that, all my maintenance was done by Auto Miraj in attidiya, further there is also a specialist garage run by a former foreman of the Hyundai or Kia company im not sure, in Pepiliyana, i forget the name now, its abt 150M down the boralasgamuwa rd on the right in this huge ass warehouse kinda thing,

they will be able to sort you out.

further for parts there is a place called Korean motor spares right at the end of Darley road, its on the same row of shops as the 3M tint place, towards the centre of the Maradana flyover ramp.

Had brought a Cerato Brand New from the Agents. 6 years after i go to them asking for a valuation. Purchase price was 3.1 mil. Valuation was 1.6 mil.

I was planing on buying the New Cerato. But then i thought why spend 3.7 Mil and after 5 years have the value halved by 50 %.

The company MD who had a fat ass the size of his brain even didnt want to talk to me saying that he was busy with a meeting. ( So i guess he was not intrested in my money )

Decided to never buy a Kia again. and has discouraged everone since. I would rather stick with a Toyota if i am going to use the car above 5 years.

i hope you find a good place for repairs dude. It takes 3 months to get down the parts as well,

buy PHC.Valeo clutch plates from Panchikawatha, PHC.Valeo does 100% OEM for Hyundai and Kia, so its the same thing as buying from the agents but half the price.

Thank you very much for the information. By the way do you know any specific place to buy this. B'se my one is some what rare. I have Manual Diesel which Korean auto also does not have clutch/pressure plate.

try ajantha motors in panchikawatte, nishani motors in narahenpita or korean ato store at darley road. they should have the part your looking for.

Also, auto miraj fast fit in attidiya/ ratmalana is a highly recommended joint.

Ah you bought the previous 1st Gen Cerato! Yes That particular model wasn't a big hit because back then Kia was building cars that earned them the U.S nickname "Poor Men's Toyota" (No offence Velocity, here even Kia's are high priced)Because they were constructed with cheap materials. But now they are trying to build a good reputation.:) but still unfortunately the nickname has been changed to "Poor Men's Audi" lol.

Even Hyundai has changed the game.Ex:the Sonata is built with high strength aluminium (It's stronger than toyota's high strength aluminium). It gained so much critical acclaim that it recently was awarded "Best mid-size premium Sedan" in the US.the Sonata is currently outselling Camry & Accord.Even saw it on "yahoo-news" recently.

I respect your opinion 100%.& yes I too wan't to kick their asses in because they are such lazy aggravating morons.KIA should seriously replace their bum-employees with efficient & friendly people.Their vehicle lineup may have improved but those bum-employees have got to go!!! B).Korean automakers are really making a scene at present.

+ 1 regarding the bum employees. by the way i had to buy the poor mans toyota because of a auto parts project. At that time it was highest selling sedan in korea, finland and netherlands.

That's quite true.Yes they were popular in some countries because they were so economical to own.But Somehow the Brits absolutely loathe Korean cars(Especially Jeremy from TopGear :D, he slanders Korean cars on international TV).I manged to message a good pro car reviewer (Mat Watson)from AutoExpress.I asked him whether he plans to review the new Sonata. He was like are u ??!!! then after a few days he messaged me that he might do a review in the near future.

Never go to KIA workshop as they will blame you for all their faults and try to charge you the earth for repairs. Besides the arrogance of the staff and CEO who never wants to meet you to solve the problem. It is simply not worth it.  Last time I’m using a KIA. A used jap car is better than a brand new KIA anyway.

Please stop spamming the forum with the same post. If you have a problem with the said agent, why don't you make a complaint at the Consumer Affairs Authority? Not saying that your issue will be resolved by doing so, but it's certainly better than posting vague statements on the Internet.

Also, maybe you can start by explaining what happened so that members can get a clearer picture of the situation.

Hi its true the company maintenance is expensive  but for normal repairs not major engine repairs i recommend you can do it in your well known trusted garages no worries because even they do the same thing only thing is slightly not much equipped with new technology based  tools and scanners because company has all the necessary things in technology and specially diagnosing tools other than that for normal repairs you can buy the parts from ajantha motors or aruna motors or Korean lanka at panchikawatha and give it to the bas to fix it this will save your money a lot for sure even for my kia sorento i did this it was very successful
