yeah..I think Hyundais are giving a good run to it's competitors now...

there reliability issues seems to be in the past and the new design language is kick-ass...

I would stick to either agents or a good mechanic to attend to repairs and even services...

our makabasses can ruin even the best of vehicles and then blame the brand for it...especially when it's a non jap make

once a baas fella told me that korean cars are really bad cos the engine bays can't be pressure washed :P

Now it is come with a new R 2.2 engine and a 6 speed tiptronic gear box since 2010 model (same in kia sorento also). It is said that this gearbox is sealed type and need no service(like changing of fluid) for lifelong. Little bit afraid of that.Any comments?

Go for a manual that problem will be solved

There's a big fuel economy differance between my uncles auto and my manual one (obviously the manual dose more kmpl)

And the power is so much that u can do a 4wheel wheel spin, even while shifting to 2nd gear.

No problems to be reported in my 4 yrs of use. only periodic maintainance at the company.(I don't know what happens if u give it to the local makabas.)

Go for a hyundai, now it is reliable as a toyota or better.
