Interior Cleaning

Hi guys,

Can any body please let me know the best place to interior cleaning for honda?

Thay must have

1.Dry/Wet vacuum cleaner with shampoo trigger

2.Multiple cleaning liquids for Seats, Hood …etc

3.Must be well known person for Honda Seats and other plastic covers….etc

the story behind this

I have done a cleaning and I left my car there when i come back, the carpet was fixed but it is still wet. So I told the technician again let it be dry (took me 2 hours)

The place is front of Laugh super market in koswatta. They charged me 4500 but cleaned only 50% to me.

I was very disappointed with the cleaners. The way they remove seats and covers. They just pulling seats with out unscrew the bolt and they don’t have tools too. Finally I had to teach them how to remove EK3 seats in proper way.

This is typical mechanics in Sri Lanka and you all agree with me

I’m lucky coz I have downloaded the service manual for EK3 and know how to remove parts in proper way

I'm not sure if there are any detailing places specialising in a particular brand of vehicle. There is no logic to that (unless ofcourse the agents, but then agaim interior cleaning isnt their specialization). But i would recommend Kl**n park. Havent had any issues so far. However, as a rule of thumb, you should not leave your car any where unattended. There was a thread a couple of weeks ago on the detriments of leaving the car in these places.

I got my interior cleaning done (not a Honda) at a new joint in Marine Drive recently. They are cheaper than KL*** Park but still rather expensive.

Pros: The guy who does the interior work knows what he's doing. He is somewhat careful with the car (although a crow took a shit on one of the seats - hardly his fault). Marine drive gets good sunlight so the seats dry better, although a bit dusty. They got the necessary tools and they use 3M products for most of the work, although I noticed some Dash products as well. You can guide him and he takes your advice.

Cons: They are expensive (6500/-). Only one guy can do interior. They use the same cleaning liquid for hood and seats. They get a lot of work (not as much as KP though).

Bottom line: Wherever you give the car, stay there all the time and inspect the work every so often.

I got a interior detailing to my Ek3 from CRC kandy. They did a very good professional work. They have a branch in Seeduwa too. I don't know abut seeduwa branch, the manager in Kandy is also very good person, before they take the car they do a complete inventory check up about the car and take photos of all the tiny the damages places. I'm 200% satisfied about their cleaning process rather that other bullshit interior detailing places. I stayed there for 2-3 hours to see how they clean the car. They have all the tools needed and good mechanics as well. If you need more details see below thread;

Given up on all those places a long time ago. Bought all that is needed to do the job at home, including the HP washer, (gift from a friend).

Initial investment pays dividends 3-6 months down the line. Car is cleaner, safer and there is a sense of satisfaction. :)

Trust me, you will do a good job in the end, no matter how many mistakes you make along the way.

I also take my corrolla to Kl**n park for interior cleaning. They did a super job. May be its because my dad was their until they finish the job and my dad is good on 'People Management'..:P Interior cleaning @ KL PRK cost me abt 4K+ and exterior was abt 3K+. Total package was abt 7500 bucks (Plus few notes for 'People Management').. :D

PS - My car is having fabric seats.. for those who are having leather seats i'm not sure what is the best place. But i believe KL PRK will do a good job..:alc:

Members,

K/P was the pioneer Auto Car cleaning station started in mid 1989 with one Kacher H/P machine and a vacuum cleaner fist car washer is in Canada at present he was a Qualified auto Cleaner from UK and Australia.

Owner of K/P was trained in Japan for long time from early 1980. Today he operates number of services and few service stations which related to automobiles after care.He is the farther of Auto cleaning in Srilanka. Mr. Ranjan Ratnasena's Professional car cleaning concept other Auto cleaning stations too followed his foot steps. Including Auto cleaning staff who opened out cleaning stations on their own.

But today he has expanded so much he cannot supervise all of his workers his workers do not keep to their word Last September I gave a Accident Maruti car it took 4 months to repair Damage was only front and rear body when the car was parked lorry hit from behind. Charges were 130000.00 Rupees which I think far too much.

This is slightly indicative of the place, but the repair part is irrelevant for the topic "interior cleaning". All you had to say is something like this

"KP used to be good when the owner was more involved, as he was professionally trained, but the company has expanded so much that he can't supervise everything and the workers don't do as good a job"

Thats it. NO NEED to type out all the irrelevant stuff.

Really ? Did we really need to know all this BS about sylvi and K/P owner

This sounds more like a biography of K/P owner than an actual advise isnt it ?

I also feel sometimes Sylvi is given a hard time here. I know the history  Okay...PEACE to all!

Peri,

Well, he wasn't informative. It was useless noise ( a lot like the arguments you two are trying to make). I mean, the first car washer who qualified abroad is in Canada? It doesn't matter if he was qualified in Mo-Town, USA or Timbuktoo if he ISN'T THE ONE DOING THE WASHING NOW!!! It is NOT RELEVANT to the quality of service now. Do you understand?

You guys might be entertained by all the BS, but I have plenty of other things to do.

And if you don't want to get into an argument, don't start one.

Yes sylvi is right about Klpk. I had a bad experiance from there maharagama joint couple of months back. They took 3 weeks to do a small accident repair which in a another garage could have done in a couple of days, and not only that the baas (makabass) glued the car's name badge in the wrong place after the repair. I had to visit few days there to correct that and when he finally glued it on the correct place the idiot sprayed some kind of solvent to the place where the badge was glued earlier to remove the glue, and what happend, the paint in that area (which was painted couple of days ago)faded. The people who work there are very unproffesional and even the supervisers are not experienced enough to handle the work load. Even on an earlier occasion after i had a exterior done the chrome plating in the rear dicky handle got some blisters. When I showed that to there MD he told that it could have been some chemical reaction. What a irresponsible bunch of idiots.

My advice to anybody who gets KLNPK services is to monitor them closely or never go there at all.

I dunno if you noticed this, but the title of the thread is "Interior cleaning", so history from the 80s and collision repair is NOT being informative. As for the others, there is an old saying. Birds of a feather, flock together.

Also, go learn the difference between caps and bold.

Any further comments by you on this thread that doesn't pertain to the topic will be removed and you will get official warnings for going OT and wasting my time. Not open for negotiation. Ciao.

'rameez',

This is a late reply to your post. Please note I am a old school man whenever I rely i do write with all facts. One or two members on this list made me write out of topic addressing me in unwanted language as they did not have a good background. I have never insulted any member. When I got unwanted reply posts I was compelled to reply to suit them.Still they post similar posts to me. I find moderator had removed some of my reply posts to them and still the original posts directly insulted me are on the A/L web Forum. I think this is questionable. Who is responsible for above.

I think I already told you to stop being an old woman and gave you a course of action to take. This whining and "who is responsible" politics play does NOT please me or impress me. Stop with the daft "poor me" bs. I've removed plenty of insults against you. The ones I haven't removed are the ones you replied to instead of reporting them. I don't give a damn if you find it questionable or not. You want to get into fights and then cry and run behind the authorities? Go try that somewhere else.

Quite frankly, you are the most troublesome member here since Hola left.

If you don't know the history or what has been done behind the scenes, I suggest you don't try to white knight for people. You might find them less deserving of your sympathy if you knew the whole story. Just get on with what you were doing and don't pry into things that don't concern you.

And never come at me with a "most of the ppl" comment. I believe "most of the people" are idiots. People around the world prove it time and time again. Most of the people in Germany VOTED Hitler into power. Check out various popular votes to see why that opinion get proved time and time again.
