Changing The Ac Filter(Pollen Filter) In A K12 March

Thought of writing this as i was unable to locate anything that could guide me to get the job done easily.

Hope this helps.

First you need to remove the glove box.

to do this, you need to first remove the plastic cover in the right side wall if the glove box, applying force from below, easily removes tis cover

after removing this, you will be able to see a string attached to the arm of the glove box(this string enables the glove box to come out gracefully rarther than falling on to your knee), dismount the string from the arm of the glove box.(this can be fitted back)

After this, the the glove box (or the glove box cover) can be removed(taken out) easily.

then you will be able to see 7 screws. 3 on the top 3 at the bottom and one inside(jut inside the box, on the top) the actual glove enclosure.

Remove all 7 screws and carefully remove the entire enclosure.

Now you should be able to see towards the far end(behind where the AC controllers are) something similar to "http://www.aepdirect.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/1987432120.jpg , http://www.puravent.co.uk/filters/filterimages/M2268.jpg , http://www.budgenmotorcars.co.uk/wmsimages/297849112_tp.jpg ". you just need to get hold of the handle, and pull it out.

Cleaning this/replacing this makes a big difference in the AC.

Good job writing this up. It's refreshing to see people posting up useful info. I'm sure peri will move this to the DIY.

Does anyone know how to do this in the K11? Every A/C guy I visited insisted on cutting the dash behind the glove box
