I have a Nissan Tiida 2008 model, clocked at 96k. Today suddenly reverse gear stopped working. no matter engine is cold or hot it's not working, however when I put the gear into R and accelerate the engine, its engaging about at 3000 rpm. Once it engaged I can reverse without problem. Other gears are working fine as usual. I have change the gear oil every 30k miles with Nissan branded trans oil. also i have checked the gear oil levels and its not low. What could be the problem? How much it cost to replace the auto gearbox I am from kandy. Are there any reputed gearbox mechanics around kandy?

Friends, I'm planning to buy a nissan tida. so can anyone please tell me what are the problems related to this vehicle. It's good look and seems comfortable.

Hi guys, In my Nissan TIIDA 2008 (Automatc transmission) i had around 9 - 10 KMPL in city limits. This is after a full tune up. Before it had around 7 KMPL in city. By mentioning full, I meant Replaced Iridium plugs EFI / Throttle body cleaning Engine mounts In addition to this i had a engine miss due to burned ignition coil so replaced with two genuine coils. Also replaced air filter with a genuine air filter. Also I've recently replaced lower arm bushings, sub frame bushings etc. Now my problem is car doing around 6.5 KMPL in the city. I have driven around 5000KM after the tuneup and now it giving me this fuel figure . I'm driving carefully not to push it more than 2k RPM. Odo is around 96k and engine oil replacement coming in 98k. Never did a ATF change after i bought (ran around 15,000KM yet) this but when i check with dipstick oil having pink color. Tyre pressure 30 psi for all tires. Tune up done by Ravi (Bulugaha junction). When i went to see him last week regarding this matter he did a scan and showed me this readings (see attachment) saying fuel consumption should be good. Also he told me if I'm having this problem again, come back to him and he will give me a ignition coil set so i can try running with those. Do you guys have any suggestions on this problem ? Do i need to replace ATF and see ?

Hi guys, Some of you already seen this issue on my last post regarding no brakes after a DIY attempt to change brake pads Recently i resurfaced the front disk (of course not a DIY) hoping to get rid of this noise. But still i can here it when i lightly apply brakes as shown in the video. No noise when i stopping the car from average speed. I can here this noise on following instances so far 1). Put the car to D position and press brakes lightly (creepy sound) 2). Press the brake to the floor and turning steering wheel (left / right) on a slope (creepy sound) 3). Press the brake to the floor and releasing slowly (creepy sound come and after release, gone) So do you guys think it's time to replace the calipers ? Is there a known place to sort this out ? Any input appreciated Thanks

Hi guys, I've a Nissan TIIDA 2008 car. I've tried to replace my front disks by my self. However after putting new pads, the caliper didn't fit. Since I didn't had a C-clamp, what I've done was, 1). remove the bleeding valve 2). fit the caliper with one pad 3). put a flat head through the caliper and push against the disk so oil will be bleed from the valve and the piston will give space to fit the caliper. I've done this to both front discs and replaces with new pads. But after i switch on the car and press the paddle, there is no brake at all So what I've done is loose the valve and keep paddling the brake. But I've seen i should close the valve before release the paddle. I haven't close it while releasing he paddle. Now i think more air is in the system. On the left side car had bleeding but when i move to the right side, almost no oil came when paddling. Just hiss sound and bubbles. paddle is squeezing very softly. I checked the brake oil level and it is close the max level in the tank. Can you please help me on what I've done wrong and how to fix it ?

Hi fellows, I've noticed a dent in under body on my Nissan TIIDA 2008 during a oil change. Not sure how i got it but is this repairable? If so can you please suggest me a place to fix it and a rough cost ? Thank you

Hi guys, I've damaged the LHS rocker panel on my Nissan TIIDA (2008 YOM Sedan) And now I'm looking for a place to buy this part. Garage says it's bit harder to find this item (G**tz park, Miriswatta). Can anyone point me a place to buy this item ?

Hi guys, This is my first topic in AL. I recently bought my first car, a Nissan TIIDA Latio 2008 (yom). When i full tanked the car the gauge shows bit less than the F sign as marked below. I stepped out of the car an checked when filling because i wanted to make sure the guy in the shed wasn't too lazy to hold the pump. But he stopped filling when the tank gets overflowed. So right now I'm not sure the problem is with fuel gauge or something else Can someone please help me out?
