  1. Hi Experts, I intend to buy a Suzuki S Cross SX4 Boosterjet 1.0L 2019 UK for approx LKR 6.0 Mn. This is one of the few crossovers in New condition in the range of LKR 6.0 Mn. I test drove the car and drive was reasonably impressive. It could be considered as a decent family vehicle with a good cabin & boot room and with a high ground clearance (180mm whereas Toyota CHR is with 150mm.. No offence please ?) as the reasonably high ground clearance is one of my priorities. However, I'm little hesitant to go for it as this vehicle is too new to SL market and yet to catch up with the market. As such, availability of spare parts in future shall be a big question and there is no an authorised agent (even not A*W) dealing with this vehicle or the spare parts.. Considering all the above facts, I kindly invite your valuable advice for me to take a firm decision on it. Thanks
  2. Hi. I was hoping to get ideas for recommendation for a car that would fall between 3.5m - 4.4m My purpose is to use it on after work travel on occasion and travel on weekends to kadawatha from kalubowila. Looking for comfort drive and hoping for it to be of or around 10km/litre in fuel efficiency.
  3. Hey guys, I managed to get myself a used car recently and I have a bunch of general questions regarding a few things. Servicing: What are some good places for this? I've a Toyota, but I assume going to Toyota Lanka isn't really an economical idea. Repairs and Parts: Again, places. I want to DIY a bunch of things on the car, and would love some input. Currently there's a leak in the windshield washer and I want to get the tubing replaced, how should I go about this? Dashcams: I feel like this would be a good investment. Anything you guys recommend? I felt like there isn't much info around for new car owners, so if there's anything that would be helpful, please share. Much thanks in advance.
  4. I'm going to buy a car around 1.9 million. Guys please give me suggestions what I can buy in that range. It should be manufacture after 2010. Is there any Jap car? If not what are the best options I have. I'm not interest in alto or viva elite
  5. Hi all! I'm continuing to do car research in advance of purchasing my first car, ideally costing under 3 million rupees. I plan to use it for at least 5 years after the purchase. Important question: what is better economically, getting a brand new one for around 3 mil (Picanto, Wagon R etc) or buying a second-hand one from early 2000s (Familia, Sunny, Civic etc) for around 2 mill? What concerns me is that given the old age and >100,000 km mileage of these used cars, am I likely to face heavy expenses in repairing and maintaining them within the course of 5-10 years, which might make the total cost of ownership equal to or greater than the price of a brand-new one? Thanks in advance for your advice
  6. Hey broz, I want to buy a car. Registered or unregistered. My budget is between 20-28lks. So plz give me a idea and car list. I'm mostly like hatchback and suv. help me plz guys.
  7. Nissan unveiled its first 100% electric production car in 2009 with the name Leaf on it. Since then, going through many improvements, the Leaf has captured a different niche in the automobile market. Even in Sri Lanka, due to its affordability which worth as its spatial practicability, the Nissan Leaf has been a major consumer choice. The powertrain with the 110 Horse Power electric motor is powered by a Lithium-ion battery which can be chosen among the 24kw and 30kw. Each battery provides 2 significantly different driving ranges, 200km and 250km respectively as its being claimed by Nissan. Practically these numbers vary significantly but for a daily city rider, the Nissan Leaf is a perfect choice. The car learns by itself the riding style of the driver. Then in the next full charge, it will show the possible traveling range according to those data. Simply, If you drive so aggressively for a few days, and then once you charged the car, it will show you a lower possible range. Anyway, these values also change in real time according to the way you accelerate. The good part is, if you are a daily city driver (short distance), then you might not need to charge the car every day because the battery doesn't get discharged when the car is stopped. Thus, in electric cars, the range is the most critical factor in production as well as when buying. That is a one reason the car became a controversy in both negatively and positively. The build quality of the car is quite good as a family car. It has plenty of leg room for both the front and rear seats with a great ride comfort. The sophisticated infotainment system is very detailed and straight forward. The electronic transmission nob adds a huge technological feeling to the cabin. Being an electric car doesn't mean that it cannot go fast but it means the total opposite. Even in Nissan Leaf, the electric motor produces 280 Nm of torque which gives a thrilling acceleration. We actually tested the car for the 0 to 100kmph speed test. With some additional information, we published our 4th episode of Tarragon TV series. Watch it, enjoy, leave us your feedback and subscribe to our youtube channel for even better videos in future.
