Hi, this is my 1st post over here but i do hangout here alot. so as you may know theres a new helmet saying that the helmet you wear should not cover the area from eye browse to chin. and further more should not be tinted source - http://www.adaderana.lk/news.php?nid=24659 so there are the points i have against it * why is it required to see the face of the driver when you can see the lisence plate (well in the times of war it "might" have been reasonable, still it sounds silly) * its very usefull to wear a full helmet when your riding long distances ( dust in your face, in case of rain ) * in my personal experience i know that it helps alot in an accident ( mostly that the first thing you will hit is your face and it will be the chin and norse ) ... and the list continues if you ask few more riders so is there any legal thing, something like a petition we can take to the court which will cancel this rule? PS let me know if theres something i missed regarding the positiveness of this law thanks, Oshan Rube
Hello experts.... I am tired and confused reading the gov websites & other various procedures which didnt help me. My question is Suppose I want to bring down parts of a dismantled motor bike, can i just get someone to ship it to Sri Lanka ? Is the customs going to screw me up ? What are the points I got to be aware of? How do I do this? Please help me out !
Hi friends, I am interested to buy a motorbike for daily usage such as travel short distance mostly and long distance once in a while. So I have no idea about which type would be most suitable for me because I know little about bikes. I see lots of Indian bikes on the road. But I prefer a Japanese one because its said to be durable, comfortable and long lasting. ( Don't really know though) So my requirements are; - Averagely economical - ( no need to be the most economical ) - Easiness of maintenance - ( Availability of spares rather than how cheaper they are ) - Handling - Ability to travel comfortably especially longer distances - 250cc could be most suitable - medium sized ( not too large ) So please suggest me brands or models to think about and find about. Thanks a lot in advance.
Hey guys, A forum newbie here. I am looking into buying myself a bike and I need to pick your brains. I have searched the forums and I see a trend/bias towards Japanese bikes with most Indian bikes being frowned upon. But here's what I would like you to consider should you decide to weigh in: I do not have a very good understanding of the mechanical aspects of a bike. So if something is not working right, I do not know how to fix it and I tend to take it to a garage. I do not have a lot of time to be repairing or upgrading or fine-tuning the bike. I need it to just work. I do not have the experience to pick out a good reconditioned bike (so might get stuck with a dud) I want something that is not terribly common (like pulsars for example) Taking this into consideration, what would you suggest I get? I have a budget of 300k. On the Indian bike side, I have the option of an FZ or Fazer. On the opposite side, there is the Yamaha TW200, Volty(not sure about this one), Jade, and others. I would love a Hornet but its a bit expensive and it guzzles fuel like a bear in a honey factory. Going by my bike-noobness should I stick with an Indian bike? Appreciate any advice.
