I went out for a 10 minute drive, and by the time I park & switched off the engine, I hear the fan come on & a slight hiss. Opened the hood to find out coolant being sprayed from the hose, near the clamp... quickly switched off the car and the spraying/leaking stopped. Some google searches tells me the clamp might have deteriorated and that it's good to change to a screw-type clamp. But I just want to double check as I'm DIYing this one. Had changed a clamp in my bike's radiator before but this one sounds a bit different. So, new clamp or new hose??
My GP1 (2011) AC was repaired by Stafford on a same day they changed the Air bags.they have done a service and replaced 8 "O"rings ( i was not there actually ,I admit to garage and collect it in afternoon) . charged me 13K. it was OK for 2 weeks and today suddenly AC stopped working in a middle of the hot day. before that, car was at the car park with the AC running around 10-15 min. then when i start the journey, with in 2, 3 min time I realized this issue. I checked the AC fans and compressor Click sound , nothing. I let the car to cool down for 30 min and tried. AC start working again. compressor and fans are fine now. What could be the issue? one AC man said it could be a fail safe mechanism has been switched on and stooped the total AC system due to some kind of issue. high pressure or temperature ..etc may be i have parked the car and let the AC running for 15 min and there will be less air circulation with condenser ..etc. has any on come across this kind of issue?
Guys, I have a Prado 2005 petrol one. Problem is with air condition system. it seem that there is a gas leak and technician advise me to replace cool box since the issue is with it. My concern is that to replace this he needs to remove complete dashboard. Please let me know is there a other way to replace it with out removing the total dashboard ?
Hi, One of my friends is going to buy a Toyota Passo 2004, done 70,000km. While inspecting the car we found an oil leak underneath the engine (image attached). From my experience this should be engine oil. I want to know whether this is a known problem in Passo? is it a oil seal that couples engine and gearbox? thanks in advance.
