  1. fixing Idle up vacuum relay (DIY) (This is only relevant for older vehicles which does not have ECU or can drive through an EMP Attack ) When the AC is turned on the engine RPM should raise a bit to cater for the load it gets. To do so a vacuum line coming from alternator is connected to a mechanical suction unit (idle up switch). It pulls the accelerator cable so that the RPM increases. When AC compressor turns off the electrical relay valve cut off the vacuum suction to get the engine back to it's normal idle RPM. The guy who fixed the Idle up switch to my jeep has forgotten the relay. So it always gave a high RPM at idle. I had to fix the cut off relay for that. Below is the pics of those two units.   2. Hi, I recently bought a 1986 Mazda Familia 323 (BF3P) 2 Door Hatchback edition. I noticed that the engine is going retard as soon as I switched on the Air Conditioning. Later I found out that there's an Vacuum Advance Diaphragm connected to the Carburetor to mechanically pull the throttle when the Air Con is turned on and this device is not pulling the throttle enough to compensate for the AC compressor load. I wasted almost a week looking for a replacement part in Delkanda & Panchikawatte but failed to find the exact part. I would be delighted if someone can point me to a place where I can buy it.   3. Can anyone please tell me the idle speed readings of the rpm gauge in a 1500 CC Ti Carina car , when AC is on and AC is off. In my one, in cold starts with or without AC rpm is 1000 but when get heated it goes down to 800 or 750 sometimes, which makes it so difficult to drive smoothly (it is a manual gear vehicle). As far as I know when AC is turned on the idling speed should go up. Please let me know if anyone have ever experience this problem Thank you
