Dear experts,, I have gone through the several posts that have been already discussed about steering rack repair regarding to electronic power steering systems. My vehicle is a toyota 121 and I'm having the same issue with the steering rack. I had gone to a nearby garage and they had adjusted (tightened) the rack for two times. When I visited to the same place today, they told me that now the steering rack cannot be adjusted and the only thing that can be done is to replace it with a reconditioned one. (The problem is the middle part of the rack has worn out more than it in the ends) I have heard still it can be fixed by using some nylon bushes. Is it true? If so from where can it be done? otherwise can you suggest me a place to do the steering rack replacement? (Place around Kandy will be much helpful) Thanks in-advance.

Hello guys....i have two general questions... 1. Is there any mechanical issue\disadvantage if I park my car with front wheels not straight? 2. When the car is stationary, does rotating steering wheel put any additional stresses and wear and tear to steering linkage and EPS system? Thank you.

Hello every one. I own a Maruti Suzuki 800 2010 model car. As every one know these cars don't come with power steering. So there is a great difficulty in parking the car. 1. So please let know Is it possible to convert Maruti's normal steering to EPS (Electronic Power Steering) as in the Alto 2. If it is possible please let me know the places where it could be done 3. The cost of the conversion. 4. And the parts which are used in the conversion and which parts should be replaced or changed Any comment will be a great help for me

My 1st post in AL I have a honda civic es8 2002 model with electronic power steering and it gives taka taka noise which is really unpleasant According to AL forum and from what I heard, I need to replace a bush(with teflon or nylon, and i don't know what is that bust is about). I called stford and they told, replacing only the bush will not do the work and need some other parts also to be replaced , cost is about 25k with no warranty Called another place in Maharagama (advertisement from hitad) they also told me the same story, bush+shaft repairing should be done.cost is 15k with 1 yr warranty So I want to know past experience from the people who has done eps repairing and a good place where it can be done properly??

Hi my Honda civic 2000 model ES1 needs a replacement on its EPS control box. It's a nightmare to find the matching part. Same shape box is available. Numbers are different. Can someone help me find the part or interpret the numbers on the part. At the moment it a real wild goose chase.

I have a NISSAN K11 year 2002 Auto model. I am having problems with the steering. It becomes really hard when parking (very slow speeds). I have try to get repaired this (Rack and column has replaced and cost me more than 50,000/- ) but failed. I cannot understand where the problem is. When I drive, the steering is alright but at low speed, it becomes very stiff. What could cause this? Dose Battery’s Ahr will effect for this? (Engine automatically accelerates slightly when this happen)
