Hello, I have a question. I owned a couple of vehicles so far and each time I start them, I have the precautious habit of keeping it on N till the engine Oil heat/cool sign disappears. I know that it means engne oil has to be spread along the critical parts of the engine when it arrives to the desired heat. But.... Having said it takes around 5 minutes for that to happen, so is it a must for the new vehicles to wait that long before putting into drive?

Need to try twice to ignite the engine when the engine is cool.
Snfonseka posted a question in Mechanical problems
Hi, My car is a Viva Elite (7 years old and mileage is 57,000 Km). Few days after the engine tuneup, I have noticed that I have try twice (with the key) to ignite the engine when the engine is cool. When the engine is cool, first attempt always fails and only in the second attempt engine ignites. However this doesn't occur when the engine is hot. When the engine is hot, engine starts properly with the first attempt. Any advice regarding the matter is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.- 9 replies

Need help from experts & owners who experienced same situation before. My car is Kia Rio(2003 model) Continuous rattling noise came from engine bay from compressor and it was compressor clutch plate. As suggested by A/C technician I replaced, 1.Compressor clutch plate 2.Pulley assembly 3.Bearing 4.A/C hose (since there was a leak-confirmed by dye test) 5.Filled gas Now I've noticed that the AC will no longer blow cold air if I've been idling too long (either parked, sitting in traffic, at a long traffic light, etc.) Once I start driving again, it cools back down like normal. Now technician is suggesting me to replace compressor which will cost me 17,500/- (reconditioned), 34,000/- (brand new) Already I've spent 12,000/- regarding this issue. Now i'm bit confused and seeking some advice on 'what to do' ?

Hi Guys, If you are using a cool box (Not the one came with the car) could you share the details. It seems they use at least 3 AMP or higher continuously to keep cooling. When it is being used, Do we need to keep the engine running to provide the power needed?because otherwise the battery will be drained. Do you get 0 °C (Zero) and how long does it take to get zero? Could you suggest a brand / or what's yours brand? Appreciate your replies. Thanks.
