    Honda Civic Sedan 2019

Hello! Well first of all this topic is about Honda Civic Sedans not Honda Civic Hatchbacks.... Honda civic sedan 2019 when you go to official website or even to stafford motors website they show 1.5L turbo engine model and 1.6L engine model which are about 90M rupees. But in all other places what you can find is 1000cc turbo engine sedan. I tried to find that model in Honda website but I couldn't find it(I'm not an expert.. maybe I missed it 🤭) So this Honda Civic Sedan 1000cc turbo engine costs roughly 70M -72M right now. What my questions are... 1) is 1000cc turbo engine is really enough for that huge vehicle, I mean performance? In hill country will it perform well? (Please see attached photos) 2) Why cannot we find Honda Civic Sedan 1000cc turbo engine model in Honda website? (If someone found it please send me the link) 3) I have seen lot of Honda Civic Hatchbacks for sale.. if you go to ###### or any other website you can at least find 10 to 20 used honda civic hatchbacks for sale that are run less than 10000kms... why is everyone selling it? Is there any failure? If there is will it be same with the Honda Civic sedan 1000Cc turbo engine model? Thank you.. I know its a big topic... I really need help and even car sale owners seem not aware about models and stuff... Thanks in advance! Cheers Lali 😀
  3. Hello friends, I recently bought a Honda CR-V 2018 model from Japan (Ex-Masterpiece). Regarding the Honda Gathers Internavi it has few issues. 1. The main menu or audio menu is not functioning. But by the steering multifunction can change the audio source. When I digged into it, found out that the map sd card is missing. I thought the importer given one sd card it will be fine. But it is only for the music rack and the map card slot was hiddden inside a cover. No solution was provided by petc* lan*a as well. The gathers set model is VRU-195CVi. The importer is telling the map card must be bought seperately from the dealer as it is not a factory option blah blah.. 2. My question is the japan map is not important to me. It has apple car play where gmaps can be connected. But why the menu doesn’t function..? Thank you
  4. Hi all, if you guys have n wgn English user manual please share it with me, (need it so badly) anyway if you have mange to translate from Japanese to English, please be kind to share with me.. huge help Thanks in advance.
  5. In my honda fit GP5 I'm getting a "chiri chiri" (metal scrape) noise when my left front wheel hit a rough road with shocks. I'm not getting any noise or anything wired voice when I'm turning the steering wheel. I worried whether I'm having any trouble with my rack ends since I hit a bumbler on the road around 80Kmh few weeks back. Does any one have any opinion about this problem and what's the best thing to do? (eg. whether do a wheel aliment first) Thank you very much.

    Some Concerns?

So I was on a hunt for a car for few months. Was initially planning to buy a used Honda GP1. Then decided to buy a GP5 as I saw 2014/15 GP5 being priced around 4 mil price range. Then I thought of importing a reconditioned one as I managed to stretch my budget a bit and spoke with a vehicle importer and asked for quotations. But he said now vehicle taxes has changed and cars like GP5 & Aqua (with 1.5l engine) costs more than before. He suggested going for a smaller engine hybrid like Swift RS or a normal car like Vitz, both of which I have ruled out due to various reasons. Enough ranting 🙃 I have several queries, 1. Most of GP5s advertised are around 50k mileage costing around 4 mil. Some are tagged as "agent maintained". If I buy an “agent maintained” one with records, would I be able to get a car in good condition as per the records with a genuine mileage? 2. I see Honda vezels of 2013/14 priced around 4.3 mil. Has this been the case even before the taxing? Or do the hybrids with medium sized engines now have a lower price tag? 3. Will there be a policy change any time soon? (I know this is a stupid question considering the quality of our policy makers) I am a newb to the fancy metal world. Any answer would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance. 🤗
  8. Hi, Can someone explain the difference between GP1 and GP5? Are there any other GP versions available? I do not know much things about Honda. Any information regarding my query will be really appreciated. ——————— I used the search function, but it didn’t yield any fruitful result regarding difference between aforementioned models. There are substantial amount of content regarding Fit, but not many things illustrating difference between models. Thanks in advance.
  9. From few days in my Honda Fit GP5 2014, the car audio system (pioneer AVH-265BT) can only operate on the reverse gear. If I'm not on the reverse gear setup is fully locked and I can't control anything. (Buttons are not working and display is turned off) To go to the menu or change the channel I have to put my car into the reverse gear. Does anyone have a clue about what's going on here?
  10. Hello Friends, I have recently purchased a Honda Civic 1000 cc turbo - UK domestic model. This comes with Honda Connect - Garmin navigation system. Could somebody help me to install the map of Sri Lanka in that system ? I checked with the agents and some people but got the impression that nobody had a reasonable idea on how to do it. I do not want to let an incompetent person damage my system, since everything is integrated here. If somebody had get it done, please share the details with me. Thanks in advance. Sudarshana
  11. recently bought a honda vezel hybrid 2018 RS Sensing .....and need to know how to maintain it without getting into any issues plz help? Or else my mom will kill me.
  12. Guys this is just my oppinion dont bash me lol.but i drove the chr 1.2 turbo ,audi q2 1.0 turbo ,honda vezel hybrid rs and after some spirited driving all that drove with me said that vezel felt special even in the corners u can play with the car not like the audi and the toyota in the wet or in sport mode in a low gear u can have some powersliding fun when turning and at the end of the day it does 13-22 kmpl i know its a dramatic difference i said 13 cuz old owners claim that but im a maths student and i know how to calculate and i got 17-22 17 city 22 highway conditions btw bought it in october 2018 and now july 2019 ..... car is damn good as in the begining and only issues had are rear is extremely bad to be driven because of sport suspension and the black interior makes the car so much clusterphobic(dont know the spellings lol) and if u need a sporty drive and if u are spirited like me u will defineatly need a honda vezel rs(in the rs package u get different suspension)or u can customize but like the porsche gts package this is the optimum budget package so do let me know ur ideas guys and tell me when to sell it and do let me know the recommendations
  13. Hello everyone. Looking for some direction regarding buying a used SUV. I have shortlisted the following and would appreciate it if anyone who owns one or has any experience can give me some feedback to make a decision. Or any other potential vehicle I have missed? Honda CRV (2014/15), Honda Vezel (2016/17/18), Nissan X-Trail (2015/16), Audi Q2, Suzuki Vitara Boosterjet (2019), MG ZS. My priorities are reliability, practicality, resale value and driving pleasure (in that order). Not very fussed on fuel economy. Concerns about the Vezel DCT and X-Trail transmission issues.
  14. Hi, I get the "Honda Smart Key System Check" warning message in my Honda Vezel (2014). This message appears frequently but not always. Any idea what its all about? Also looking for recommendations to whom should I consult for this issue apart from Dealer. Thanks
  15. Any one got English honda fit gp5 user manual..?

    Honda Fit Gp5 Quick Review

Hey guys, So just planned to do quick review after driving a specific car as it would help most of the people who seek out details about a particular model. Those entries contain details about how the car is like to drive, comfort level, build quality and interesting facts(if there are any). So I will be unable to post details about long term ownership and maintenance. This review is based on Honda Fit GP5, which is one of the most common cars in SL roads and one of my favourite cars to drive. Driving I have driven this car in hilly areas, bends, stretches and bad roads. So I will be able to give a brief idea about how it is likely to drive. The first thing you notice when you get into a Honda (specially if you are a Toyota owner) how the seating position, dash layout wraps around you. It just makes you feel like you are sitting in a driver’s car. The seating position feels much sporty and lowered. The Honda’s Earth Dreams Hybrid system (even though it has those early clutch replacements and a bit unrefined nature) is a joy to drive. The acceleration is really good even when the car is filled with 5 adults. I drove the car from Padukka to Kegalle once with 5 adults and I never felt that it was underpowered. The Fit will do 0-100kmph around 8-9seconds but I never tested that. But trust me the car has more than enough grunt for day to day driving and sudden overtakes. The steering is really light with a little bit of weight, but much sharper than a toyota. It goes where you direct without a delay. In corners it’s steady, feels much more planted and rigid. Given the size and power, the car is miles ahead in the driving area when compared with a Toyota Aqua, the main competitor. You can corner this really hard without any slips or stability issues. But the issue you’ll find with this car is the unrefined nature of the hybrid system. When you are going slowly round the town, the throttle response is a bit hideous. Sometime you really have to put your foot down to make it get going. When the engine kicks in, it’s much less of a trouble. This is existant in all the three i-DCD equipped models, Grace and Vezel also. Another thing that a felt is that due to the high amount of torque generated by the motor, the car is a bit hard to control during small manevours and specially entering into a garage with a bump. You’ll have to be a bit carefull or otherwise the car will jump forward. Around the town the car is a breeze to handle due to low turning radius and light steering. Comfort When compared with an Aqua, the ride is pretty comfortable, but not as a sedan with softer suspension setting, such as an Axio Hybrid. The seats are on the firm side and the suspension too, but for me the car feels a bit more comfortable than the Aqua. Also the seats hold you better when cornering providing good side support. One thing that you’ll notice is the amount of leg space for the both front and rear occupents when considering the size of the car. It’s really adorable. One day I drove a Fit from Kadawatha to Kegalle and after the journey I felt a bit tired which I never felt in my 121. That’s due to the stiffer suspension and a bit higher road noise levels since it’s a hatch. Interior Quality Most of the materials used are hard plastic. But the finish makes it feel a bit more upmarket. The door panels and dash are nicely finised with silver accents and piano black insertings, so I find the car to be miles ahead when compared with Aqua, Vitz and even the 3rd Gen Prius. The car has much more options such as paddle shifters, brake hold and LCD colour multi information display. Interesting Features and facts -The climate control system is touch sensitive, which cannot be seen on far more expensive car models. It’s really cool, but sometimes a bit harder to control on the move. -During a hard braking, the signal lights alert the rear driver by doing fast pulses. -When you pass 100kmph, there is not much power left. -Just like most Honda’s the original speakers are really good. Make sure to use a good head unit or keep the original japanese one than replacing with a crappy chinses head unit. Overall the GP5 is a car that I really love to drive and would fit a small family with kids nicely. The economy is good but not good as an Aqua. But beware of the dual clutch system and the hybrid battery when you are buying one. This review is based on my personal experiences and other people might have different opinions. If there is anything wrong or inappropriate please let me know. Also that this review is not sufficient as a deciding factor for a new car since it omly covers about the brief time period of driving experience but not MAINTENANCE AND DAILY DRIVING. Looking forward for your comments🤗Thank you for reading! Cheers! -alpha17-
  17. Recently I met with an accident and I had to replace rear windscreen of my Honda Fit GP4. I handed over the car to Mag C#ty and asked them to handle insurance and everything coz of my busy schedule. They have replaced a duplicate Malaysian windscreen instead of my original Honda one without informing me. And also there was no transparency of the process at all . However, after replacing to a duplicate one vibration noise coming from the rear windscreen when I drive on broken roads. Mag C#ty guys are not accepting this and they are arguing that noise coming from somewhere else. But I pretty sure that's coming from the back door. Can this happen technically? Has anyone experienced this before?
  18. Hi All, Please be kind enough to share your experience if u ever did a service from the Honda agent in Sri Lanka.

    Honda Engine swap

My eg8 is currently running on D15 vtec e engine. I'm planning to do a complete engine swap to b16 (v tec if I'm able to find one). I just need to give it a bit performance upgrade and have a neat drive. no body kits or whatsoever. My plan is to update: complete engine (distributor, ecu, fuel line, injectors, etc) gear box and clutch all 4 disk breaks Anyone here has done the above upgrades? How much would it cost for that roughly? I know its hard to find a b16 and any tips for that as well? Taking some advice before jumping to the process.

    car for 1.5 mil

Hello everyone, I just have a budget of 1.5 million to buy a car. I prefer Toyota, honda or nissan. It should be a car which gives me hassle free. I need your advice on this. other brands too are ok for me.
  23. Hi all, I have a 2000 Honda civic EK3 and it runs very poorly when started after sitting for about 12 hours. I believe this is due to the engine temperature being lower than the operational temperature. It takes a couple of seconds (5-10) to start too, but when hot, starts within two seconds. RPM starts at 400 - 450 and if I try to hit the gas, the engine stops with misses. I have to keep it idling for about 2 - 3 minutes and then RPM slowly rise to normal. Any idea what this is? Thanks in advance, Vihanga.
  24. I own a Honda Fit Hybrid car with year of manufacture as 2012(GP1). It's odometer reads 71000 km to the date. Speaking about the vehicle's history, it hasn't given me any issue till after the completion of 65000 km reading. As usual we all know that at around 40000km we need to replace the drive train oil or otherwise it gives the indication of HMMF(Honda Multi Matic Fluid) replacement. I performed the procedure when the vehicle was at 38000km mark and scanned and reset the vehicle's ECU. Since then the only replacement I have done for the vehicle was its 12V battery. Please note that almost all Honda Hybrid vehicle's doesn't have an alternator to charge the 12V battery, it is always charged from the High Voltage battery when the vehicle is started. So that if you encounter any problem with the high voltage battery, it stops charging the primary battery where the end result would be vehicle's total system failure. If you see the red battery light on in your display while you're driving it means your primary battery isn't charging form the secondary battery. First you check the fuse box for blown fuse and in most of the cases that would be the issue. Still after replacing the fuse you have to scan the ECU and reset the fault codes. If you ignore the CHECK BATTERY indication it will lead to IMA indication. There after the vehicle's ECU disconnects the High Voltage battery form the drive train for safety purposes. That is one of the ways you get the IMA indication on your vehicle. At around 60000km mark I encountered a new issue. The engine started to give a knock and the CHECK ENGINE light came on. Since it is not an issue for me to resolve I went to a professional for help. He scanned the vehicle for fault codes and informed me that there are some blockages in the fuel injectors and the engine is running lean. (Engine running lean means that the fuel injected to the chamber is ignited with excessive amount of air.) It could be either a problem with the fuel injectors or a problem with air intake. The professional informed me to go for an injector cleaning. The issue was no more after the injector cleaning process. Then came the high voltage battery overheating problem. The system scan showed that the HV battery cooling fan malfunction. We removed the battery and checked the fan separately and it worked fine. After consulting an Engineer at Honda we understood that the battery cooling fan works in 3 stages in Honda, depending on the heat produced by the battery. Due to some electronic failure in the fan driver it didn't change speeds. Therefore i had to replace the fan which cost me around 40000/= . Since then the car became even smoother to drive. The efficiency popped up to 20-22km/l and the high voltage battery bank was at 75% of its initial capacity even after 6 years from manufacture. If you have any information about the problems like this and their fixes I am keen to learn.
  25. I heard that there is an oil burning issue in Honda Fit GP1.
