Since this is a very straight forward matter rather than going with general C-HR related topics, thought to open a new thread. One of my friend's C-HR (YOM 2018, millage 27,XXX km as of now and imported as 0 millage) had a fuel mis few days before with check engine and below warning messages "Check Engine. Visit your dealer" & "AWD System Malfuction. 2WD mode engaged. Visit your dealer". Vehicle is drivable but in low power mode only. He visited TL and found that 2nd cylinder misfire with codes P030027, P030085, P030200, P160500. Learning outcomes: 1. As he has been informed, TL does not have the facility to test for GDI Fuel Injectors. He (my friend) then called to a test bench manufacture in the UK and then they gave him a contact of one of their customer in Sri Lanka. When the injectors were taken to the place and tested, the other three is injecting 50 ml and the No. 2 injector is injecting 40 ml (per unit time). After ultrasonic cleaning it was increased to 55 vs 45 respectively. 2. After mounting, the engine runs well for about 2 hours but again the problem is the same. 3. TL still has no spare parts (GDI injectors). 4. He saw three other vehicles there with the same problem. So this will be a common problem. According to TL, this problem is due to contaminated petrol but I have my doubts on that.

Toyota Corolla 2018 1.2L GDI hatchback engine carbon cleaning
Isg posted a question in Mechanical problems
Hi, I am using 2018 Toyota Corolla Hatchback (very few in SL) which had1.2l turbocharged, intercooler GDI engine (Similar as Toyota CHR 1.2) which has done 39000km on the clock.( Bought in 2018 2 months after the production with 30km on the ODO) From time to time after doing arounf 30000km I started feeling rough idling (when car is in "D" and starting to move after brake is slowly released) and also some kind of slight jerk on hard acceleration at high speeds in the highway. So when I inquired from TL they did "engine tuneup" without removing the injectors as discussed in previous threads related to Toyota CHR. So from another reputed mechanic I got a vehicle scanning which gave only "rough idling". So afterwards injector cleaning was done removing injectors and all, in which revealed chunks of carbon deposits on the intake valves. Apparently injectors are in good form according to the person who did the cleaning, but the rough idle still prevails. So as I'v read carbon deposition in GDI is a known fact, which led me to do some searching on carbon cleaning agents and came across this CRC GDI IVD Intake Valve and Turbo Cleaner from USA which cleans the said components without going for an engine repair ( quoted at Rs.10k at a local online site) which has lots of good reviews. Has anyone used this product? Appreciate your valuable comments as the sight of carbon deposition is very frightening to see.-

Hi Guys... So I sold my FD1 and the Alto(sister owned, abused by me)... Happy news is my brother bought the FD1... So now I am back to car hunting.. I am gonna get a 2011 Audi A4 for me.. Enough OT, sry abt that... Here is the issue. The Alto was bought by my sister and her husband.. But soon they started disliking the car and I just ran it and sorta riced it.. And we sold it off.. They are now going to buy a Pajero Io. Probably a post 2001 model.. We used to own one back in the day when they just landed in the country.. Since it was vrand new we ran it well and sold ot off on 2 years and moved to something else... It had all the bells and whistles the io came in... Now the issue is,we will be buying one second hand, and now they are bit old..how are they coping up? I checked all the threads in the forum. But most were dated at 2013 max.. So I want to know the current situation of the io`s. Has the pump failing got any permanent solutions? How much is a pump ? What should I pay for an io? Anything to look at specifically when buying?(we check it at that car checks place anyway) Can I find a fully loaded model? How are parts priced? Any other alternative vehicle to look for?max is 2.6 million. Should be a mini suv or small crossover cos the roads we run are shitty and full of pot holes.. Thanx all. Sorry for the loooong rant

Hi All, I'm trying to locate a GDI Fuel Pump for 4G93 Turbo engine. If the GDI is from an IO I need the pipe assembly that comes to the pump. If its from a Cedia, only the pump is sufficient. So far my search has led me to a person called Pejro Mahinda in panchikawatta, who has some pumps which are expensive. I would like to know any other places that might have this available. Thanks, Y3K
