guys. i have civic es8.its comes with Vtech engine and CVT gear box.bt fuel consumption is very low.it does City 8 to 8.5 and long distance does to 11.5. is it normal fuel consumption? I did the engine tune up and change the air filter also.but Nothing Difference.

I would like to initiate this discussion about Honda Civic 7th generation models like es8, es5 and es1 for everyone's benefit to share knowladge. Few questions: 1. What are the models and their exterior, interior and performance difference available in Sri Lanka. (Different trim levels and lights and bumpers and face-lift version) Add photos if you have too. 2. What are the version specific problems which are common and general pros and cons. 3. What is the price point/ true value and market factors of these models. (After December 2017) Hope this discussion will help everyone to broaden their knowladge and help new buyers/sellers to take better decisions specially after market disrupt from budget changes.

Hi All, I have a concern with the gear changing in my car which I bought few months ago. Model : Civic ES8 Model : 2005 - Face lift When driving it's RPM always reach 3000+ before changing to the next gear. Anyway it does not incur any jerk. But I wonder whether this is a situation which needs to pay attention because as per my experience the gear shift happens in 2000 - 2500 rmp in many cars. Appreciate your opinion on this. Hello everyone, I recently sold my Indian alto and now searching for a good Japan car for around 2M. I am going to use the car for 3 years and want to sell it after 3 years. So can I have suggestions from the PROS regarding a specific models which I can buy for my budget with good condition and good after market sale? Need a car for do the basic maintenance, fill up fuel and ride. No time to waste in garage. I am normally using the highways in the weekend and need a car to suite for that requirement as well. I am looking for Patrol, Auto gear, full option, sedan model car.

HI all, My 2004 honda civic ES8 (EXI -1.5 cc) car not shifts gears smoothly in 1-2. There is a gear shift is not smooth and then the car jumps a bit as the shift takes place. Sometimes this jump get feel really well (mostly first 15 minutes of driving) and later on its very low(Sometimes after that time it very smooth). There is moment it wont give the jump feel too. Another thing i noticed, sometimes i need get the RPM in to 2500 ~ 3000 for 1-2 gear shifts. is it normal? I need the help for this issue. I would like to know following things, 1. What is the reason for this issue? 2. Anything that I can do w/o taking the car into the shop. 3. Can I drive on this for a few days or do I need to get into the shop urgently?

My 1st post in AL I have a honda civic es8 2002 model with electronic power steering and it gives taka taka noise which is really unpleasant According to AL forum and from what I heard, I need to replace a bush(with teflon or nylon, and i don't know what is that bust is about). I called stford and they told, replacing only the bush will not do the work and need some other parts also to be replaced , cost is about 25k with no warranty Called another place in Maharagama (advertisement from hitad) they also told me the same story, bush+shaft repairing should be done.cost is 15k with 1 yr warranty So I want to know past experience from the people who has done eps repairing and a good place where it can be done properly??

So here goes my question. I am planning to buy one of these (Nissan Primera TP12, Honda Civic ES8, Subaru B4). My budget is 2 millions. But now I can't decide which to buy out of these 3. According to your oppinion what can deliver the best overall satisfaction?? My major concerns would be performance, less trouble, looks , reselling value and specially driving pleasure I wouldn't mind less than average fuel economy and bit expensive maintainance (but not too much) Or else is there any other option which i can consider within this range?? I know there are posts about this topic but I couldn't find a recent one. All of them were pretty old. I want to know the current condition. Hope this thread will be helpful to many people in the future aswel.

Hi Guys, I need to do the service of my car (ES8 2002 EXI Auto 1.5) which has done 120,000 kms. The previous owner has used Mobil super 1000 X2 15W-40 but the agent recommends Havoline. Should I use the same oil which is Mobil or should I shift to Havoline. I have read some posts of the AL and some people say 15w-40 is too thicker and recommend (x)w-30. Also I like to know good ATF for my car but I don't know the brand of the ATF which is used currently. Thanks in advance
