Heya, I have an automatic 2008 Suzuki Swift and recently it's been shaking/vibrating/juddering quite noticeably when the engine is turned on (whether it's cool or warm). I've always waited for the engine to warm up for a few minutes before driving it, so I really don't know what's going on. I've also noticed that when I put the windows down, the sound of the engine when accelerating is quite unsettling, sounds like a long and loud dry wheeze, I can't really describe it. It just sounds really unhealthy. I also remember one time when the accelerator just stopped working while I was driving (felt like it ran out of gas but I had just filled it) before any of this vibration stuff started, so I pulled over, waited, and then it started working as normal again. I literally have no clue what I'm talking about when it comes to mechanical terms and all that jazz, I just thought I'd come here to ask what's actually wrong with it before taking it to a mechanic. My dad knows quite a lot about cars but he isn't here at the moment so I thought I'd come here to get some helpful info to pass on to him. I read somewhere that it could be something to do with the cylinders; if it is I can give some more information later on, but for the moment I'm just looking for what this issue could possibly be. Hi, I'm using Suzuki Every (2016, tiptronic gear, 15000KM done). I get very abnormal sound when the gear is shifting up, actually the sound is bit loud and I can feel the the shift (like dragging). But all the five gears changing without problem, I want to know what causing the problem Is it coming from the tiptonic gear shifting unit? Thanks Abhiram

Hi All, The next periodical service of my car (Maruti Suzuki Alto) is around the corner. Now 20000Kms done. I'm thinking of whether to put it a local service center or to A*W Service. What is your suggestion? Will A*W do a good job? Now I feel that the clutch and steering wheel is bit tightened. Can you pls help me as to what should be done in a full service? Regards Rookantha

Hi Guys, I am planning to upgrade my wheels from 15'' to 16'', car is a 2005 swift zc11s. I have not seen any of the same model with 16'' except the sport model which has factory fitted 16'' wheels. so wondering will there be any issues or if an expert could enlighten me with the result. Plan is to buy Volk racing or Voosen 16'' wheels with low profile tyres, any tip for a place to buy?

Hi all, My Japanese alto gave a slight clicking sound when turning the steering wheel (to the left) and accelerating. This sound was diagnosed as a CV joint failure by my mechanic. Therefore, we replaced the entire left side shaft along with the inner and outer CV joints. Brand new CV joints were not available and had to settle with second hand Japanese parts from Delkanda. However the sound was not sorted out. After another trip to the garage, the right shaft , joints and rack boots were replaced. This also resulted with no improvement of the sound. Now the odd part is that the mechanic is now suspecting a bush of the AT gear box as the cause. He is saying that I have to replace the entire gearbox in the worst-case-scenario. Have you guys experienced this type of an issue? If so, how do you diagnose this?

Hi Guy, I own a Suzuki swift 2005 (japan) beetle auto car, I bought this few months ago and didn't face major issues since last week. Suddenly starter motor failed to respond on few occasions but after switching off and on, it did work. Car has few other electronic errors such as seat belt indicator and gear indicator light errors, they work sometimes but sometimes not. I am wondering weather to go to a electrision or to do the regular service as it's has come closer. Seek your valuable advice.

Hi Guys, Just wanted to know the main differences between Suzuki Swift Indian version & Suzuki Swift Japanese version. I checked few blogs and found out below differences Engine Capacity 1.3L vs 1.5L Transmission Differences - Indian comes with a manual & Japanese with a Automatic Interior - Good interior in Japanese ( obviously) What about the engine versions? and drawbacks of Indian one? Fuel efficiency, Maintenance & parts availability? Are there any differences in exterior? I was bit supersized about the recondition price differences between these two versions. p.s. - I checked lots of old threads and sorry if i am posting something already discussed in detail.

Suzuki admitted to improper fuel economy testing methods on 16 of its automobile models since 2010 in a statement released Wednesday. The company said the testing methods used were different from those required by Japanese rules, but that proper testing of the vehicles showed no need to amend the fuel economy data. Despite the irregular testing methods, Suzuki denied accusations that it had deliberately falsified data to make their vehicles seem more fuel efficient. "Any wrongdoing, such as manipulation of fuel efficiency data, were not found," it said in the statement. It also said the 16 models affected were sold only in Japan. Suzuki stock plummeted 15 percent Wednesday after reports began circulating that the company could be tied to a mileage cheating scandal currently surrounding Mitsubishi motors. HI People, No this is not a thread about fuel or oil changes and crap... No Im not a hypermiller. I have been a member since 2012. Yet I post very rarely. But I read all em threads daily, I have had a lot of help from U guys in the past as well. Okay enough on that... Its like this, we got an Alto 2015 for my sister(not my choice as I personally like Italians,Euros and american vehicals).Reason we went for it was brand new, reliable and economical.Her money so I dint go against it... we paid and waited 6 months for it. That was also a month earlier than they promised. I even called Komi once bcos he was also going to sell an alto he ordered for his wife. Sadly I lost his number.. Now here is the real deal. Its economical to the core, BUT its bloody boring as hell.Only in bends in the hill country you can get some feeling. But if u keep doing that Im gonna fly off. Handling is horrid,tires are shitty. After 3rd gear it takes ages to speed. Max I've done is 120.U wet urself not cos its fun, it feels really unsafe. As if ur gonna lift off Into the sky and into Gods arms..(Not funny).. And the BREAKS, MY GOD THE BREAKS... A mountain bike stops faster.. so far the only thing added is a spoiler. Oh and got it tinted.. nope I dont want a neon or integra stickers on the windshield... I want to make it faster,more fun to drive and do something unique on the outside. Only tuks are more visible in roads than altos now.followed closely by vesis. I saw somebody has done a Turbo convo on a k10 alto. My God thats awesome.. I want help from all u experts to make the car a a (beast?) Roughly what I think It needs- Engine upgrade, break upgrade, suspention upgrade,interior and exterior upgrade..pls help me everybody No I dont care about resale value. Selling and buying something else is also not an option. I have a weird taste in cars. Hate common cars,this is very common.. But I like to make it a unique Alto. Thanx in advance. Hi friends, I am interested to buy a motorbike for daily usage such as travel short distance mostly and long distance once in a while. So I have no idea about which type would be most suitable for me because I know little about bikes. I see lots of Indian bikes on the road. But I prefer a Japanese one because its said to be durable, comfortable and long lasting. ( Don't really know though) So my requirements are; - Averagely economical - ( no need to be the most economical ) - Easiness of maintenance - ( Availability of spares rather than how cheaper they are ) - Handling - Ability to travel comfortably especially longer distances - 250cc could be most suitable - medium sized ( not too large ) So please suggest me brands or models to think about and find about. Hello Guys, I need some advises and suggestions from suzuki jimny owners and any one who has the experience with them, Im planing to buy one, suzuki jimny 1999 or 2000, 2003, this happens to be my 1st vehicle and i dont have any experience about them, It will be used for light work and city running most of the time. Basically i want to buy a SUV,( coz i like the JEEP factor), so i want to know. 1. Is suzuki jimny is the vehicle for me, is it good when comparing with terios daihatsu or RUSH, Honda Hr-v etc 2. What is the average price range ? (i did a search, so comes up with range 17 to 20 ) 3. What is the fuel consumption? 4. what about the spare parts and general problems associated with this vehicle? * Im mainly looking for SUV(Mini) below 2M, and i dont have any technical knowledge about motor vehicles , Please let me know what you think. I came across this weird situation today which I did have a bit past experience with. On my way to work in the morning I overtook a few cars and bikes (going slowly) on a stretch of road and had to slow down after a few meters as there was a junction coming up and there was a bit of traffic. I was on the third gear and the car pulled to about 4000rpm, problem was when I slowed down and came to standstill at the junction my engine had died without giving any indication. A turn of the key and it was back on again. What do you guys think is the issue? Prior to this I had the same problem but it went away when I cleaned the plug chambers and put in new plugs. Been having a few problems for the past week where when the engine temperature goes to the quarter point the car seems to misfire when you let the engine slow down giving it a boxer engine sound. But if I let off the gas it will settle down again. I'm wondering whether both these incidents are related. I have checked on water being in the plug chambers as well as the aircleaner which is new. I've got new plugs and both plug wires and ignition coils are in good order. There is no check engine light or anything coming up.

Hi, I've got a Suzuki Liana 1.6. Recently took the ignition coil assembly out to change the spark plugs and noticed that the rubbber bit surrounding the contact point between the plug and the ignition coil rod has broken in one unit. It is the wide bit right at the bottom; My questions are; Is there a specific name for this rubber bit? Can I buy this rubber bit only(without buying an ignition coil)? If I cannot buy this bit, trust that I can salvage one from a disposed ignition coil from a Liana or a Swift (engine model: M16A). Any thoughts on where I can find one? guys, please help me with this, i own a 2008 Suzuki swift and the right side passenger door is jammed. car has the intelligent key function so it doesn't have a key on the outside. and the inside lock/unlock key is jammed. doesn't mover when i try to unlock. And when i press the door lock switch, i hear all the doors locking sound including that door but that's it. Any ideas ? Thanks

I recently looked for Suzuki Swift 2008 Japanese Fog Lights and got the following prices. A*W (Agent's) - Original Japanese 27,300/- Indian Compatible 12,000/- + 3800/- Labor Un*que Lanka - China 9000/- (For the unit + Labor) It seems that the second option is cheaper. But, I have heard that if Fog Lights are fixed non-professionally; it may cause problems with the car's electrical system. Thus,what would be the best option or has any of you experience with Fog Lamps fixed by Merchants other than Agents ? Thanks.
