  1. What is the best option from these two? 1. Buying a honda civic 2017 brand new hatchback (UK) 2. Buying a toyota premio 2014 used? Please give me your advices.
  2. The latest versions of Toyota Allion and Premio was released in mid-2016. The two models has come with significant design as well as technological improvements. This time, Toyota has blurred the boundaries of the design in both of the cars and given a one common overall design to the front and the back while specifying 2 different levels of detailing and trim. Despite that fact, the design this time is really impressive. Firstly, let's watch the video that we did as the comparison between the two cars. The 2 cars have been built on the same chassis as the predecessors', the NZE-260. but in the exterior, the hood (bonnet), front fenders and the front and rear buffers have been redesigned with different levels of detailing. The front lamps are LED including the head lamp. Tail lights are a combination of both LED and conventional lighting. The ground clearance has also been increased a bit which is a better sign. This time, there is no "G-Superior" in the Premio. Instead the "EX-Package" as the highest option level in the Premio and G-Plus in the Allion. In the video, there are those highest grades. The Premio that we took to has the New body colour which they call it as "Dark Red Mica Metallic" which is more Redish than the wine-red of the out going version (Different colour codes). The white is all the same and it is the Pearl-white (metallic white) in the video. The 2 cars are equipped with more sophisticated technological aspects. Mainly the safety features like, High Beam Assist: Which will control the high beam (Head light) by it self. When driving at night, due to the HBA system we no more need to put the lights into Full or Dim. When a car is coming towards, the system automatically dims the light and immediately after its passed, the lights are put into full. Lane Departure Assist: The system will give a warning if the driver is crossing between the lanes unsafely. The display in the dashboard displays the regarding information. Pre-Safe Collision Assist: The car brakes by itself if the driver did not take necessary actions in the situation where a collision could happen. The system works under the speed of 50Km/h. It is the Same as the CTBA which came in Honda. Additionally with the ultra sonic sensors on the front and rear bumpers (buffers) the system detects if there are short collision objects even when the car is moving in a tight parking lot. The system boosts brake even the driver has applied brakes slightly which would not sufficient to stop the car. The on dash display visualizes how close you are to a collision object. This time they have added the Engine Auto Stop function which turns off the engine when it is in idle in order to maximize the fuel efficiency. For an instance, when you are waiting for the green light, The Auto Stop will work until you take the foot off the brake pedal. Immediately after the brakes are released, the engine comes up and ready when your foot reaches the accelerator (no delay).
  3. Gonna Buy Allion 2016 Or A Premio 2016 , Any Suggestions , Advice ? Which Is The Better Buy ? Fuel Consumption City & Outstation ? Thanks
  4. Dear friends I want to select Allion vs Prius Kindly help me to compare following Comfort Preformance Breaking Preformance Car controlling VSC, traction control etc New features Pl help me Thanks alot
  5. I need to buy Original toyota 16" alloy wheels for my Toyota Allion ZZT260.... If any one knows a place.. please be kind enough to let me know it. Thank you
  6. Hi Guys, I'm facing kind of a quandy here. So I'm coming to the experts. I'm going to buy a new car and have the following options. Brand New Geely Emgrand EC7, imported by Micro. 3.2 Mil LKR. Made for the european market, has a 4 star safety rating, so not really "chinese crap". 3 years warranty in Sri Lanka, 5 years in other countries, so probably reliable. Looks good. Micro however doesn't really has a good customer service record. A 2004 BMW E60 520i Milage around 50,000 KM, About 4 Mil LKR. Well it's a BMW. Always wanted to own one. It's a 2004 model though. 5 series has more electronics. Good rep. But I don't want to end up having to do a very expensive repair every two months or something. Toyota Allion or a Premio probably around 2010 or a nearby year. About 4 Mil LKR. Good market, after sale value. Cheap repairs. I'm not really concerned about fuel economy. I'm just looking for a car I won't have to repair every few months. What do you guys think I should buy? Thanks.
  7. Hi, I want to upgrade my corolla 141 to a car with following features. 1. Good resale value. This is why I was thinking to go for Toyota. 2. Daily usage like 70-75Km. Travelling to Colombo daily for working 3. Good fuel consumption - 4. Least defects low maintenance. 4. Budget - 4million -2008-2010 premio/Allion, -Axio(non-hybrid). -Honda Civic(non-hybrid, like the car but again resale value is a problem) -Suggest me any car model Not so limited, but this is what comes to my mind. Axio is the least like, as similar to what I have now, but will be still consider as seems fuel consumption is quite good as what I heard. Not so fan of hybrid vehicles coz of second hand market, complexity. And real calculation seems suggest me non-hybrid is more value for money under these circumstances. Problem - When ever I talk to a owner they always giving me high hopes of what they own. And if Axio, Allion, Premio users can share there fuel consumption (real ones) highly appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Trying to decide between BMW 320D vs Allion 260 and I need your help. Been lurking over this forum for quite a while, did my own online research reading tons of past threads but if any of you can share some honest insight specifically on this, that's gonna be a huge help - for me and many others! Don't think this question/comparison has been done before. Aight, my goal is to figure out what'd be the better choice out of these two - BMW 320D vs Allion 260 (almost the same as Premio). If you need a manufacture year for the benchmark, let's use 2011. Not planning to get it down, looking at buying a car that's already been imported - so probably gonna be the 2nd/3rd owner. I'll be using this mainly in Colombo and suburbs. Not a family man, just a cool bloke here (family men can be cool too!). I'm not going to be a cheapo - I want to live my life to the fullest, but also not going to forget the fact that SL is one hellova peculiar market - thus wouldn't want to drift too much away from it and live in my own world either. Neither I'm a fanboy of any brand and a pretty much newbie when it comes to vehicles - thus here I am on a public forum asking for expert advice! My observation/thoughts - Roughly a 2011 Allion 260 would be around 55-60 lks whereas a 2011 BMW 320D would be around 65-70 lks. The difference is one million; now I'd love to go for a BMW but my main concern is if BMW offers the same/more features as an Allion (probably a "stupid" question already but heck, I'm here to learn and grow). In my own comparison, here's what I know so far. I should also note that I did some intensive research and chose these two cars are two great contenders overall. Resale value - Both (tho Allion, bearing a Toyota badge seem to have a more stable market value; less depreciating.) Fuel Efficiency - Allion Parts - Allion Prestige (common, let's be honest ) - BMW Features/Specs (my main concern) - Allion? (Again probably another stupid remark but on almost all Allions, and their specs I did see tons of "bells and whistles") Driving pleasure - BMW? (Assuming BMW has less features, can it exceed the overall experience we get in an Allion?) Build quality - Both? Requires less maintenances (comparatively) - Allion Probably for those who are well versed with the subject this might not even be a worthy comparison - as you'll know what's the best right off the bat, but just sharing your honest opinion without trolling/going with the wave would be of immense help. Please feel free to ask if you need any of my inputs, to craft a better response.
