Hi Guys; So I have been using my Nissan Cefiro A33 YOM 2000 over 2 years now, It did very well but a week ago the started to give some trouble and I hope someone from the forum can help me assist in this; Usually, my car Starts at one start in a second, But at recent the car just keeps stalling, where I have to start over 5-6 times where gradually it picks up and finally starts, the idle isn't the stable and heavy scent of Fuel disposal through the exhaust for a minute. After starting the car and out to D, The car shakes a bit where you can clearly notice the first gear needs an extra push to go, But after that its smooth sail. During the afternoon it gets worse where I feel the car needs the extra push to catch up, the smoothness of the car has lost, and when the Ac is switched on the car vibrates even more when stopped or when you let go the break prior accelerating. Also, notice HEAVY LOSS ON FUEL during the process. When climbing a small hill, If i switch the AC off the car has the extra pull which is unusual as never I had to go through before. On the Electrical checup, it shows <Primary Ignition Code error> I have some knowledge on this car and I want to share my thoughts; #Could it have to do something with the Coils? (last I checked it was fine), #Could it be because of the sensors such as Cam, Crank & Shaft sensor (According to read), #COuld it be because of non-tuneup issues> the last guy did a lousy job (but was clean and had no problems then) .   2. Hi Fellow members; Im in need of great assistance. Ive been running an Nissan Cefiro A33 YOM 2000. the vehicle has been well maintained but recently i have encounter a gear box issue Scenario: When in the morning I start the vehicle and Change the Gear to 'D', the vehicle doesn't move and so Does 'R'.but after the engine is heated I change the gear to '2' and keep accelerating couple of time then this is a *DOKKK* sound from the gear box(Sounds like forced to be released) and then releases the gear at '2'. and while driving on '2' after reaching a speed limit of 60 KMPH and shift the stick to D the gear works perfectly(3rd gear shift). But if i stop and reverse it comes back to be forced to accelerate and then the DOKK sounds comes and vehicle moves.and over again i have to Shift to Gear 2 and do the same again. Can someone advice me what is the issue and how this can be rectified. only 110,000 KM DONE Would be of great assistance.

  4. Hi, I went through the AL forum in finding a good garage around Kandy for KIA mechanical problems, although I found some around Colombo I did not find any around Kandy. Are there any popular garages around Kandy that do KIA mechanical repairs? My vehicle is a KIA Cerato and need to check for axle/cv joint problem. Thank you.
  5. Hi there members, After a long time and hope you guys are keeping well. I had a slight issue with my Nissan Cefiro A33 yesterday and I hope you guys can help me sort it out. Yesterday I was travelling to Kandy from Colombo when suddenly I felt that the gears are not shifting smoothly. This happend when I was passing Pasyala area after starting the journey from Moratuwa. For a certain period of time gears were not shifting eventhough the RPM raised. Then I stopped at a nearby garage and since it wasn't open I had to wait for like 20 minutes until the mechanics come and the car engine had been stopped. When the mechanics start the test drive there wasnt any issue of shifting gears and all were ok. So again I started with the journey and continued until Kegalle when the gear shifting again started failing. Then again I stopped the car for a while and after few minutes rest the problem sorted. I parked the car at a friends house in peradeniya and came back to colombo by bus. Guys My periodic service is due and also I have run for like 25,000 km from my last ATF change. Can you guys advice me on this issue. Thanks and best regards,
  6. Hello, I have Nissan March AK-12 (YOM 2007) and currently done 72k. Recently I have noticed when I start it (cold start) engine running with bit rough sound and after engine running few minutes that sound decreasing gradually. I suspect that due to the engine oil that it used and I have checked with the service agents. They used 20W-50 Castrol GTX oil which is not recommended for AK-12 as per the manual. Couple of days back I have taken my car to have the regular service and I asked them the issue I had and use a lower viscosity engine oil. This time they used 5W-30 Castrol GTX mineral oil for my engine. After service is done I travelled 500km ride and noticed the engine sound is bit increased than previous and when I accelerate it produce a sound coming from beat silencer. I visually checked under the bonnet and there were no any suspicious remark like oil leakage. I’m so worried about this and I’m clueless about this. Is this happened due to oil change or any other reason? Does it want to flush the engine before use different grade oil? Car engine model - CR12DE Recommended engine oil – 0W-20 Thanks, Buddika
  7. hi guys, i have a nissan wingroad y11, yom 2000... there's a fuel smell when the engine is turned off after a run... a mechanic checked the line, but there was no physical leak... the smell comes only when fuel is below 1/3 of tank... does anyone know the issue...??
  8. I'm experiencing a soft noise/ rattle in the driving side of my vitz but, strangely it becomes more evident on a carpet road (when there's no other interferences). The intensity of the rattle does not increase with poor road conditions or in bends but is clearly audible. Is it a common issue with vitz?? Thought somebody could shed some light on this matter as well. Thanks!
  9. I've got Nissan n16. This is 2003 made new model. 1.6cc Singapore one.. Now it is giving some noises from front & showed to several places & they can't found any problem with it. Noises are coming from the suspension system & like clink & duk noises when going on rough roads. I am in kandy & I want a place where I can fix the issues with it.
  10. Hi Guys, hope you all having a wonderful time out there getting ready for X mas and new year!!! This issue came to my brother's car which is a Mazda BJ5W triptronic. its mileage read 103K. issue was that the engine was subjected to sudden stop while its been running in few occasions. Every time, the engine stops suddenly, while the car is been running for few hours and not when it is starting after been parked or during cold starts. The issue comes up randomly. As a result, the mechanic asked to replace theair cleaner hose which was also damaged, but the problem doesnt seem to be solved.. Today he has gone to Colombo to get some work done and on the way home after 1 hours ride the same problem has occurred. engine had suddenly stopped and had to wait for 45 minutes to 1 hour to get the engine running again. when he had tried to start the engine in between that time a sound had come which is similar to one you get when you try to start a hand tractor as if the engine trying to start without fuel and backfiring. also the engine oil indicator had been on for the whole time. He had taken the car to the mechanic and he had told that it might be something wrong with the fuel pump. however he could not identify the problem properly as the engine was running properly when the car is taken to the mechanic. Can someone held me to determine the exact problem and whether replacing the fuel pump would solve the problem? Is there a place to run a diagnosis test on MAZDA BJ5W triptronic model as most of the places he had taken there are not programmed for BJ5W. I am not sure whether this information is enough for you to determine the problem but please help us to solve this issue. Thanking you guys and take care 11
  11. Hi everybody, first i should thank everybody who post in AL that make many people educated. I have a year2000 Honda City for more than a year, its a nice car that gave me no trouble but recently i found that there's an OIL LEAK from the Rack End. I read that post about Rack end oil leak of that cefiro, but got no clues about Honda spares.. please need some advice where or how to get it fixed.. regards..
  12. Dear All, This is the second unsolved issue of mine. This happens few months back. I ve been driving my Nissan cefiro A33 for a while and honestly couldnt check the coolant level of the radiator due to busy schedule. But one day when i put my car to a body wash I wanted the guys there to check the coolant level. Everybody was surprised to note that not a drop of coolant was there at the radiator. I ve been running for a while without coolant in the radiator but the engine was functioning perfect so does the heat indicator which was at the mid point between H and C all the time. Later during the service A*W informed me that there is a leak in the top tank of the radiator so i replaced the radiator with a new one. Now that the coolant level doesnt drop and I check for the level regulary as well. But my brothers vehicle which is a Mazda BJ5W recently experienced a coolant leak from the radiator and at one point the engine suddenly stopped when the coolant levels had been reduced and heated up. I presume this is due to the sensors that the engine stops before getting damaged, My issue is why didnt my engine stopped when my car was running without a drop of coolant? I did a diagnosis test and there were not any errors in the sensors. My radiator doesnt leak anymore but I need to know if in case the vehicle is experiencing a heat rise, are the operations that are installed to indicate it has been disabled in my car? guys your expert comments please.   13. Hi All, I would first of all like to thank AUTOLANKA for accepting my membership and for almost five or six months i was viewing your posts. Keep up the good work AUTO LANKA and the expert members. My problem is i am having a Nissan Cefiro A33 2000 model and my power steering seems bit hard. I ve been regularly maintaining my car as i love it very much and during the periodic service i asked A*W about it and they simply doesnt feel its tight and told that its the nature of cefiro as its engine is heavy. apologize if i am asking a silly question, but can u guys tell me whether any defect in the steering system and its pump is visible from outside (like a oil leak you observe during service)? Does the steering of the Cefiro is bit tight as they claim? thanks guys. cheers!!!
