Dear All, Can any body confirm whether the Reverse tilt mirror option is available in the Vezel "RS" edition. Its told that RS edition is better version that the Z grade or at least newer. I'm informed that to enable this option its needed to keep the side mirror adjusting button to left / right mirror adjustment side.then when you put to the reverse left mirror will auto lower the side pre selected. leaving at the center will disable this mode. Im not able to enable this option even by moving the mirror edjust button to left or right. Please share your experiences thanks.

And that, at an overblown price of 9.5 million for the basic LX version (http://automobiles.honda.com/civic-sedan#specifications) Given that other models like the Vezel and Grace are everywhere, I'm curious as to know why the Civic is not so widely available. I am not looking for a brand new vehicle; so a registered vehicle with a mileage around 40000 km is fine for me. Hi All, I have a concern with the gear changing in my car which I bought few months ago. Model : Civic ES8 Model : 2005 - Face lift When driving it's RPM always reach 3000+ before changing to the next gear. Anyway it does not incur any jerk. But I wonder whether this is a situation which needs to pay attention because as per my experience the gear shift happens in 2000 - 2500 rmp in many cars. Appreciate your opinion on this. hi All ! I have noticed that my civic ES5 (2004) which has an automatic transmission can not exceed 160 kmh. One of my friends which had a ES8 (2001) manual transmission easily go over ~180 kmh. I searched this in google and some people have mentioned about rev/speed limiter in stock mode. Anyone know is this a limitation by manufacturer or can we solve/overcome this by using piggy back or any other method. Thanks..

Hi guys, I want to buy Honda FIT GP5 or GP1 (2012/2013) model. But I don't want a hybrid. Its very difficult to find a non-hybrid FIT(Except before 2010 model) in Sri Lanka. Why everyone importing only hybrids. Please suggest me any importer who can import non hybrid FIT. And also, advice me on the price range for both GP1 and GP5, hope the price is same as hybrids.

I did lot of searching before posting this post for help and got to know lot of stuff as a newbie to vehicle world. I'm looking to buy my first car I do love civics and within my budget(3-3.2M) I can afford ES5 Facelift model. I search around the forum a lot and came to know that it's a good car. I got an offer for ES5 2003YOM/2006REG facelift car for about 2.7M and car looks in good shape( Need to take to a good mechanic to be sure though). So now I'm confused of is it a good buy or not,as advertisements are going around 2.6M - 3.3M. So I decided to ask some experts in here. Owner says it's maintained from Sta**ord (Service records are available). 150km are on the clock. Could you please shed some light on this as I'm very new on this. Thanks in advance. Hi Experts I'm currently having a Honda City 2001 vtec model car, and like month ago i went to do my wheel alignment to Car ***e and found out rear left shock had 0 gas on it, so they asked me to replace mine and come back for the alignment. Therefore I went and bought 2 Tokico shocks and replaced em. However, before shock replacement I had a daga daga noise whenever i go through a shitty road.. Initially i thought this was due to bad shocks, but even after replacing my shocks i was keep getting that same noise from same side. Then i though this could be due to back spare wheel plywood board, and tried removing everything. But noise was there.. So last saturday i went to my garage and asked my mech to check it, then he went down and checked and he said links are weak so need to replace (because it was making some noise after shaking), then i replaced both sides with genuine items which were bought from Tec motors, and even after that i was getting the same noise.. Then he went under the car and asked me to "car eka podak padanna" i did it couple of times so that he can identify the root cause.. But he wasnt able to.. I took the car as i wanted to go somewhere and needed the car so badly. I told i will bring it back on friday. He said needs to remove left shockabsober again and see.. What do you guys think could be the root cause for this sound? Is there workaround to verify the root cause before replacing anything else further ? Hoping to hear from all of you, since i don't wanna replace anything even though its worn out, unless that is what making the noise.. Cheers PerfMad

The Crank Pully of our Honda Civic EK3 car is broken. Photos are attached. The engine is D15B Vtec. I tried to find it in evry possible place in Pachikawatta. Tech motors, Access motors, Weliwatta etc. But failed. Is there a place to get this? Also is there a place to purchase a good engine replacement for this. Thanks! Andun

Hi Automobiles or cars as we used call them, has long become a commodity and are now mass produced trade items that aims to fulfill the automotive requirements of contemporary human beings, whose day to day routines IMHO, are much more sophisticated now and reflect the chaotic and busy social, economic aspects of modern societies. Due to such scenario, most of us has lost certain feel good factor and innocence that we had when we were growing up (applies more to people who have grown up in 80's and 90's). IMHO, the cars themselves too, whilst become state-of-the-art and technologically revolutionary by every passing year, has lost a certain character and enthusiasts who love cars manufactured in 90's or early 00's, may agree that, their cars has such personality and character, that most modern cars (even the current models of their favorite make) lacks and thus continues to TLC their cars with great dedication and soul. IMHO, For example, a BMW car manufactured in 90's (or early 00's) has such a timeless design aesthetics and driving a well maintained car will give the impression that, people who made that car has such attention to detail, workmanship, passion and are mostly assembled in original factory of the maker. Now a modern BMW for example is mostly put together by robots and are mass-produced items in countries like India or china (no offense to the countries) and during recent ride in a 2015 5 series, I got the impression that, whilst the Car is modern looking and dripping with latest technologies, it lacked that certain character that old ones had and I got the impression that some of the materials used in the new car may not be durable as the ones in older cars. No I cannot afford a 2015 BMW for the time being I do not intent to discourage anyone from buying one. Also I do not intent to undervalue the brilliant tech or modern aspects of new cars, However, my heart always races when i see a mint condition older car (exclusively euro car as I am an euro car enthusiast) on the roads and I don't get the same excitement when I see modern cars. Hi Guys I bought a Honda City 2001 model recently and I got 2 remote keys with flip key remote. Previous owner told these were there when he bought it as well. The issue is when I try to unlock it i get a strange sound like driver side actuator is trying to unlock itself several times (drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound). This does not come when i try to LOCK the car by remote. Also I noticed that, this issue occurs only if i try to LOCK and UNLOCK at the same time. For an example, let's say I LOCK the car by remote, then UNLOCK it using the key from driver side door (not the remote) -> No strange sound all doors gets unlocked If I then try to LOCK it again with remote and then UNLOCK it by REMOTE (this time it works without any sound) but if i perform this step again, then I get this annoying sound. What could be the issue for this ? Currently what I does is, use the remote to LOCK and unlocking will be done by the KEY. Rarely I unlock it with the remote (only if I perform the 1st step) Appreciate your expert feedback on this..
