  1. Want to bye buy a car pls please recommend these tow two Honada Honda GP5 or Toyota Aqva Aqua ?
  2. Hi guys, Today I went and did a full inspection of a Honda Vezel (which I intended of buying) from St@ff#rd motors. This vehicle is a 2017, 0 millage unregistered one. The summary of the status report is as below. SOC - 35% HV Battery total voltage - 168.75 HV Battery usable capacity - 50% HV Battery cell votage range - 3516.00 mV to 3519.00 mV The supervising official said that the car was in excellent condition after the report. However my issue is why is the "Usable capacity" only 50%. I did a google search and found out that vehicles have around 70% usable capacity. Therefore, my question to you is whether these values are normal for a Vezel/Fit? Thanks in advance.
  3. What is the suitable engine oil for Honda Fit GE6 2010?
  4. Hey Guys First of all I know the Honda fit has been extensively discussed multiple times on this forum but do bear with me and hear me out since this is a bit of a specific clarification. I would value your opinions and ideas regarding this. So I'm a little paranoid when it comes to buying used cars and I am more comfortable if I was to buy a trusted friends vehicle. Given the fact that what we get for about 3.5 Mil plus these days are tiny 3 pot keis I have no option but to go for a used car. I'm not overly concerned on fuel consumption or resale but more focus on Maintenance costs (i.e I don't want to do a 300,000 rs repair out of the blue) and Durability. The other aspect is of course the better performer in terms of Handling, Acceleration etc. Two of my friends are migrating and their cars are up for grabs here are the two choices : Exhibit A: Honda Fit GP1 2013 : 55,000 + KM's, first owner agent maintained , Daily driver impeccable interior, few minor day-to-day scratches and a couple of negligible dents. Cruise control etc. No paddle shift. No apparent issues mechanically (no symptoms that are common with this model.....YET!) Guy's a bit of a car guy who loves his ride I think i can get this for around 3.5 Exhibit B : Honda Fit Gp5 2013 : 45,000 KMS first owner maintained at some other place, F or L package , good interior, few scars on the bumper. Ex Daily driver now weekend tripper and used by friends wife to tug kids to school Again no apparent issues - again an honest bloke and I think despite being the newer model I can get it for between 3.6 and 3.8 Mill which i think is a bit of a deal as it seems this model usually goes for higher. Now my questions. how reliable are these two models? And If i want to avoid any costly repairs and want reliability (along with lower maintenance costs day to day) which of these should i go for.??? What is the more fun car to drive and what is more suited to our pot-hole ridden roads? Overall which would be easier to live with? Any potential headaches I should expect? I would be driving a fair bit close to 2000 KMS a month - majority City and expressway but constantly will travel out-station too - therefore do you guys think I would be better off looking at something that can handle the poor roads a bit better in the same budget like a Daihatsu Terios? I've heard it's quite rugged but I feel it's a bit bland. Thanks in advance folks.
  5. I am going to buy my first car in few months. Currently, I am doing researches on following cars. Lancer CS1, CS2, CS3 - as forums in autolanka I have decided CS3 1.6 is better. Fit Aria - Not much information but most of the people are saying that this car has better fuel consumption. Honda Civic - Bit of off-budget for me. I am looking for a car for 20Mil. most of the es1 es8 cars cost more than 2Mil.( I am looking for cars after 2002.) N16 and N17 - Don't know much about this. But most of the people saying these cars have lesser fuel consumption. I need fuel consumption about 10Kmpl in Colombo. And No matter its auto or manual. I am not going to travel daily but 2 days a week from Kosgama to Kolpety (38Km). and probably twice a month I am traveling to Matara by southern expressway. So the car needs to be decent in comfort. and need to be reliable as a 14-15 years old car. I am new to automobiles. I have no experience on this subject. It would be very grateful if you help me to choose a better car as a first car. Thanks.

  7. Hi Experts Writing this after having a in depth search on the forum regarding the above and ended up with no clue. I just brought a FIT Aria 2003 GD8 with 7 speed tiptronic and having a issue in slight vibration comes when accelerate from 0KMPH in D (Not a hard acceleration, just a normal pickup) for about second or two and goes away, also a slight vibration in D with brake pressed. Apart, having some jerks in once in a while when climbing down with engine brake in D. When I show this to agents (I wont mention as everyone knows) they suggest me to replace the Gearbox with a recon one and they quoted 90,000/- with only 3 days warranty. 1. Can somebody please tell me a good place to repair this. If possible what will be the expected cost. (Repairing will be better as you know what is in rather a closed recon one) 2. If repairing not possible, a good place to get the replacement done with a decent warranty and the cost for it. Thanks
  8. Hi guys, I want to buy Honda FIT GP5 or GP1 (2012/2013) model. But I don't want a hybrid. Its very difficult to find a non-hybrid FIT(Except before 2010 model) in Sri Lanka. Why everyone importing only hybrids. Please suggest me any importer who can import non hybrid FIT. And also, advice me on the price range for both GP1 and GP5, hope the price is same as hybrids.
  9. My Honda FIT GP5 S Grade 16' ALLOY got damaged badly. I want to buy it from somewhere near colombo or suburb. (It's too expensive in S***D M****S & S****G. Can anyone suggest me a good place to buy original GP5 S Grade 16' ALLOY? Attached image is what I'm looking the type of ALLOY. Thanks in Advance.
  10. I get huge vibration on my FIT Aria at each cold start when the car is in P or N, if I put it do D or R vibration will go up (Could be as the load coming), this will stays about 3-4 mins and goes away slightly. This comes only in cold start and there is no vibration in hot start as the engine is very smooth and silent when hot. What could be the possible cause and from where I have to start Thanks
  11. This is about the CVT oil change. My neighbor uses a FIT 2007 model which is serviced by Stafford. The maintenance card given by Stafford says to change most of the oils in 10k or 15K intervals. It says to change the CVT oil every 15K I own a FIT Hybrid 2012 serviced by Sterling, Personally I am not happy about their service, but i have to stick to them if i am to keep my warranty. I have asked them about CVT change and they say to change after 30k km, and when the indicator comes up. I am not sure whether they have the correct CVT oil and also little bit worried after what they did with my Engine oil replacement. They used 5w-30m in the first service and 0W-20m in the second oil change. the fuel efficiency in much better now than after the first oil change. I have learned now that the correct oil since this is a new car is 0w-20m (Correct me if i am wrong). Here comes the questions 1 - Has any one done a CVT change in Sterling (I know of one post that says about changing the CVT in Stafford and being void for a Gear box problem on a car with Sterling warranty) 2 - Do i have to change the CVT oil every 15k km, because there are my friends who have not done so but do not have any problem. And also i have learned that Stafford has its own agenda with sales.
  12. Dear all, I'm in big need of so valuable and ever admired thoughts of the autolanka experts and fellow members on buying my next car. After much of "homework" I managed to narrow down the options to 2 cars namely; 1) Toyota Aqua GS Sports 2014 2) Honda Fit hybrid GP4 RS version 2013 But I'm bit inconclusive on the final selection of one of these and that's is exactly the stage in which the views of you will be of much impact and value. Possibly relevant factors that would be helpful in taking the decision would be as follows. a. I plan to get it directly from Japan and aqua GS will cost around 8-9 lax more than Fit RS, means more financial burden initially b. I usually don't drive much, will say 1000km per month and that may be of importance as the 2 cars have different fuel fugures. c. Though GP4 is older version, I prefer that to GP5 so GP5 is out ( Just my perception and has nothing to do with possible technological advances of GP5 ) d. I'm personally not attatched to other aqua versions like S and G as they look bit dull ( again just my perception and no offense to fellow aqua owners ), so only the GS version is considered e. Both cars vary significantly when it comes of options avialable ( Fit is powered with paddle-shift, 4 disk brakes, dedicated sports mode and of cause more space as highlighted in many AL threads while aqua GS having impressive body design as totally without the bored nature of its regular counterparts, not forgetting the better fuel consumption relative to Fit ) 7. The resale value and avilability and cost of spare parts may be of importance but let's say with a less gravity on final decision. With these facts and any other relevant aspects I really appreciate your views, advices and please let me know what you will do under same circumstances. As always a big thanks in advance and heartiest gratitude to all contributers and team autolanka. ( N.B. I went through virtually all relevant existing threads in autolanka, but could't find much information as most were on aqua and fit generally lacking details in GS and RS versions of them and due to the fact that I'm with a different scenario here. For the moment let's just neglect the possible impact of budget proposals, otherwise it would compllicate this )
  13. I have Toyota Passo 2007 car and planing to sell it and buy Honda FIT Hybrid. Since my maximum budget is around 2.7 M, I can only go for a send hand car. I have seen lot of 2010 and 2011 Honda Fit Hybrids advertised on various web sites for a long period, but they couldn't sell those yet. Does that means "Going for a second hand Honda FIT Hybrid" is not a wise thing to do? Second thing I want to know is, "I heard that honda fit hybrid 2010 first gen models have some issues, is that true?" Third thing "Is it advisable to buy a car with more than 50000Km millage?" Kindly give your thoughts, Thanks
  14. These days im planning to buy a Honda fit hybrid. Im considering YOM 2013 models of above cars. GP1 comes with IMA 1.3 engine, 88Hp and GP4 comes with IMA 1.5 engine, 114Hp… Personally I prefer GP4 because it has a sporty look and a powerful engine than GP1. But I have no idea about fuel efficiency of this two models, Probably GP4 has the same engine on Honda insight ZE3. please share your ideas regarding this two models considering fuel economy and performance. Thanks...
  15. Hey! I currently drive a GE6 Honda Fit, which I love to bits but lately feel is lacking a bit of oomph. Plus thanks to its hybrid variant has become quite a common sight on Sri Lankan roadways. I've got some money available & am wondering whether it would be wiser to try & mod my current car OR upgrade to something a bit more capable. My budget could get me a second-hand Honda FD1 or a Lancer Ex. I've read extensively that even the L15A(1.5l) engine which comes in the RS version has its limitations with performance upgrades. Mines the L13A(1.3l) version. Hence the feeling that money spent on a bigger setup would be better than upgrading an already smaller engine. In your opinion what would be the better bet. Thanks!
  16. recondition Prius owners beware! Recalls are made for ALL Prius ZVW30 cars made between 2009~2014. In japan they are fixed for free under JP-Law. The power control computer can overheat and to avoid fire, car could go into fail-safe mode or stop while driving. Repair method is software update and replacing the AC-DC inverter module. for potential Prius buyers; You can find the affected chassis numbers in this table.
